they must be REALLY radical, b/c IIRC, 1968 was a bad year for liberals...anyone remember MLK and RFK?

Just look at Recreate 68 website-you can Google it. I was alive in ‘68 and it was an ugly year. Tet, USS Pueblo, Soviets invading Chech., MLK, RFK, Riots,etc.
May the Dem convention in Denver make Chicago ‘68 look like a tea party.
