On this day in 1963, police in Birmingham, Alabama -- under the command of the Democrat sheriff, Eugene "Bull" Connor -- attacked several thousand African-American schoolchildren who were demonstrating peacefully for their civil rights. Historical amnesia is a prerequisite for being a Democrat.
I bet half of them don’t have a clue who Maddox or Wallace were, while the other half would call them Republicans.

That is exactly what a Dem friend of mine says. He always says those are the people who became the Republicans in the South.
