Ok, so what do I do when I simply want your post to show up on my ping list so I can view the information on it later?

You could remove my name from the TO field when you reply.

If you don't want my post itself, just the link, you could click it, and bookmark the page you land on.

You could copy a link to the post # (right click on the "6" and choose COPY LINK, and paste that into a note, or send private mail to yourself.

You could use the word "Bookmark" rather than "Ping" to clarify your purpose.

Probably other things as well.
