McCain Ambushed With Obscene Question at Town Hall
Fox News ^ | May 1, 2008 | Mosheh Oinounou

An audience member ambushed John McCain on Thursday at an otherwise placid town hall meeting in Des Moines, Iowa, with a surprise question about whether he had ever called his wife by an obscene term.

The man stood up and first said he wanted to ask the Arizona senator about a “mental health and mental health care” concern.

“Previously I had been married to a woman who was very verbally abusive to me,” the man said. He paused and asked, “Is it true that you called your wife a c***?”

The crowd booed, and McCain responded:

“This is something McCain is alleged to have said. It is his problem. As for your other insinuation stick them where the sun don’t shine.”

We have 1 of 3 choices. Obama, Clinton, or McCain. Pick one and back them. People who only pretend to be conservative are liars.

Second it was alleged that he said this by a trash journalist. Its obvious this guy had an agenda and lied to get his question asked. Not to mention the utter lack of class he displayed to ask that question in that forum.

Notice the similarity to the beef that poisoned Newt?

Republican pol abuses helpless woman, behaves vilely.

Of course it's true -- he's a conservative/Republican/white guy, isn't he? <Hissing noises>

SOS, different day.

'Course, James Carville got a 100% pass for using a line like that on Paula Jones, the "$100 bill" sneer.

In the old days, his stunt would have ended up in a dentist's office, by way of the local emergency room.

He looks like a cocky jerk. Asking that kind of a question confirms it.

Book: McCain temper boiled over in '92 tirade......

"..An advance copy of the book was obtained by RAW STORY.

Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity, also let me in on another incident involving McCain's intemperateness. In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, "You're getting a little thin up there." McCain's face reddened, and he responded, "At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you c!@t." McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days..."

The person who jumped McCain was referring to an incident described in the book above that claims three anonymous local witnesses. My original point was if any of them had a recorder on McCain has big trouble. It is an old enough incident(92) that there would not likely be any YouTube. The book is out next month and McCain will have to deal with it.

“But we really don’t — there’s people here who don’t respect that kind of language. So I’ll move onto the next questioner in the back.”

Huh?

I can remember an Iowa whose Democrats were not run by absolute trash with a penchant for snotty street theater. I can't stand John McCain, but he handled this about as well as possible within the constraints of the law.

The thugs that have risen to the top of the 'rat septic tank in this state are vile by any standards.

Thanks for the report. Was Cindy there? It sounds as though McCain kept his cool.

there’s people here who don’t respect that kind of language.

In other words, there are some old fuddy duddys here who may be offended, so we better wait until later when we can indulge in our usual manly profanity.

Exactly, and the fool wanted the “Mac” to lose his cool to create a (DNC Bomb) to sabotage his campaign.

Mac did good on this and exposed the DNC operative.

So....you finally admit you're a member of DU..what a surprise :^

It's plain to see the long knives are out on this forum for McCain and being waved around by people I can only say are more likely to vote for a Democrat in any given election than a Republican.

And you base this assumption on what?..

..you know them personally...

.you know their voting record?

...Typical MO of DU attacks ....
