RUSH: Mike in Warren, Ohio.
Nice to have you, sir, on the EIB Network.
CALLER: Oh, hi, Rush.
All right. I'm calling about Operation Chaos --
RUSH: Yes?
CALLER: -- which so far has been, you know, an incredible success. I don't need tell you that.
I just turned 18, and it was my first election, and I live in Ohio, and, you know, I voted for Clinton to throw off the whole Dems.
Basically my question is this. Since it's been so successful, what do you think...?
How do you think...?
You know, what can we do to prevent the Democrats from trying this, you know, on the Republicans?
RUSH: They've been doing it!
CALLER: You know, doing their own Operation Chaos in 2012.
RUSH: No, no, no, no!
This is a great question. You're 18?
CALLER: Yes.
RUSH: And so you have some things have happened, you were not old enough to pay close enough attention.
Who do you think picked John McCain as the Republican Party nominee?
You think Republicans picked him?
CALLER: I assume more liberal and mainstream Republicans would vote for him.
RUSH: No, no, no.
Do you think Republican primary voters nominated McCain?
CALLER: Probably more independents.
RUSH: Uh-huh. And Democrats crossing over in places like New Hampshire, it was Michigan in 2000.
The Democrat Party chose our nominee.
They didn't put him over the top, but they gave him the early lead in the early states where there were not a whole lot of conservative Republicans in these early primary states.
The Democrats have been doing this as long as I have been alive and longer.
This is balance! This is us playing by their rules.
To worry about if they turn it around?
They have never been this effective.
Well, they have, but they've had the whole Drive-By Media urging voters to do this and getting their message out.
We are but one show, and we have equaled and surpassed their efforts in the past.
Fear not on this.

Obama 97.4 million dollars in
McCain 0.0
Worth repeating LOUDLY
At first I was thoroughly disgusted with having Mc Cain forced upon us. The more I get to know about him, he does actually have some redeeming qualities!
“At first I was thoroughly disgusted with having Mc Cain forced upon us. The more I get to know about him, he does actually have some redeeming qualities!”
Yes, that’s what I’m saying also - more and more encouraging signs about him that are totally under the radar, at least right now (i.e., cspan only). As a respectul “newbie” here, I didn’t realize until last night how much anger and hostility there still is on this subject. I’m grateful for, and appreciative of, this WONDERFUL forum and certainly don’t want to offend anyone. It’s just that the older I get, the more pragmatic and long-term thinking I become. And I view this election in the same way - that JSM is, and will be, significantly better for us than the other two options. Like you, he was by no means my first, second, third or even fourth choice, but he WILL be my choice in November.
“McCain is the only one who will refuse to back down in the face of overwhelming opposition from the people of this country.”
He HAS backed down on the McCain-Kennedy bill some time ago, precisely because the people have spoken. AND, to his credit, he owns up to that time after time, saying that it was, obviously, a mistake. Plain and simple - he doesn’t try to back-peddle or weasle around it with the media, as BHO and HRO do with their own mistakes.
There’s an extra $.50 in it for you if I can have the Brooklyn Bridge.
Clarence Thomas:
Kennedy Nay. McCain Yea.
John Roberts:
Kennedy Nay. McCain Yea.
Samuel Alito:
Kennedy Nay. McCain Yea.
Thanks for refreshing our memory!!
On another subject - I have but two words that we must be, first and foremost, concerned about - Radical Islam. While we may well agree that we have no perfectly perfect candidate this year, only one of the three in the present race comes CLOSE to caring about it, and we all (should) know which one that is.
If only most voters would get really educated about this, the rest would be put in perspective. Call me crazy, but the knowledge is truly frightening. What a wonderful country that we (still) have the luxury of arguing all the finer points.
God, please, continue to bless America.
“I think that speaks for itself. True, Kennedy did vote for Scalia, but he’s since said that he deeply regrets it, and that he’ll make sure nothing like that ever happens again.”
Scalia is SUCH a treasure!! Until recently, he’s never done an interview. But last week on 60 Minutes, he did, and it was great. Also, I saw him do a student forum with q & a on span. He’s totally righteous in his convictions, and a strict Constitutionalist, plain-spoken and down to earth, glad to explain the SC’s role and educate people, but apologizing to no one about his decisions.
