Now that should be simple:
Post the x-rays on the Internet for everyone to see.
Use coded numbers to protect the identify of the people involved, but allow the American people to see those 41 x-rays.
Yup, I am calling them liars!
But other posters have just stated that even in regular populations of kids, there are a lot of broken bones. So them saying there were none would be a bigger lie.
OK, so you think all of this is a lie? Golly, wonder why?
First of all HIPPA Privacy regulations do not permit posting of personal medical information in any public forum. It is not for viewers on the Internet to determine physical abuse. Trained radiologists, with their malpractice insurance policies on the line, truthfully read the films and report their educated findings to the CPS. It is up to the legal representatives of those accused of the abuse to challenge the findings. Not AOL subscribers...
Actually if I recall correctly in the news reports I heard today there were few if any X-rays (or any other diagnostic measures)taken. The CPS spokesman at the state legislature hearing based his account off of info received from the mothers when asked questions about past injuries to their children. Some 30 or so (whatever the number) reported broken bones in the kids. I have no problem with CPS asking about broken bones makes alot of sense to me (as long as we recognize that the fact that a child has or had a broken bone is not in itself evidence of abuse). I have a problem with someone in CPS tossing the number out as justification for anything given the context. Also lots of posts about the mothers giving false or contradictory info to CPS yet here they give info and in a day or two some bigwig uses it against them in a state hearing. Great way to gain trust.
Or even a list of the bones broken and type of break along with the age of the child.
Liars is maybe a bit strong, but they might be twisting the facts and presenting them in an over sensationalized manner. Or they might not. But they need to give out more information. Or if they have, those arguing that the state has been completely honest and above board, need to at least post links to that information.
