That's not a grammar lesson, it's a lesson in sentential logic. Logical conclusions never contain 'should', 'could', 'would'; it would make them assumptions rather than conclusions.

Don't take offense by this, your argument was sound but using subjunctive mood in the conclusion weakened it.
