Why is she coming out with this now?
I'm probably overly suspicious on this one, but are any of Brooke's or Walter's kids superdelegates?
To: tobyhill
What a shame she just couldn’t keep this to herself (and the likely small circle who already know about it).
When Brooke ran for Senate my family was pretty excited (in their low-key way) to have a Republican they could vote for as Senator.
When I was a kid Barbara Walters was in a class by herself- since she went to the view she’s got no class at all..

From
Barbara Walters Wikipedia page:
On March 3, 1999, she interviewed Monica Lewinsky in front of a record 74 million viewers, the highest ratings of any journalist interview. Walters asked Lewinsky, "What will you tell your children about this matter?" and Lewinsky replied, "'I guess Mommy made some mistakes,'" at which point Walters brought the program to a dramatic conclusion, turning to the viewers and saying, "And that is the understatement of the century". Who knew that she was Monica before Monica was?

Oh that affair! I thought she was referring to her affair with Senator Stephen A. Douglas:

After showing disdain for her cretin politician’s family, why does she feel compelled to reveal this to the world?

And what are some theories as to why she’s choosing now to disclose this....?
I’m ready to hear ‘em.
