The WP article has more detail. Mom found her when she woke from a nap and went looking for her—which suggests to me that she expected Palfrey to be there and she hadn’t been missing. Noticed a tricycle that was usually in the shed was “moved.” So went in and found her. This was about 11:00 am.

You make a great point, saying: “I wouldn’t have a CLUE as to the proper and effective way to hang myself.” I wouldn’t think most people do. Getting it right is simply not that easy. That’s not to say she didn’t...but the “certain suicide” statement by the police is awfully premature.
Thanks for the WP article. Some better detail, opening more questions. Who leaves at least 2 suicide notes?
You might be on to something with Dan Moldea.
I just saw a news report where a Floriduh LEO stated that the the mother said they woke up in the morning and talked and then both of them were tired and that the mother told Palfrey she was going to go lay down and take a nap. That was the last time she saw her daughter alive. Gee, was there something in the OJ?
