THAT is my ALL TIME favorite forever song. I just LOVE IT.
I remember being in my parents front yard when growing up.
Laying in the green grass warmed by the sun and hearing this song on the radio. The Sky was Blue and birds were singing in the tree across the street. VERY good memories! :)
Small but mighty dogs.

While the cat’s away, the tima will play..
Afternoon Delight came out during the Summer of 1976. It was the summer that my late wife and I finally finished college and had jobs lined up. We had been married for 4 years and as college students struggled financially during those years. With our new found “wealth” came a sense of finally being able to stop worrying about every little thing. During that summer we got into the habit of coming home from our jobs at lunch and enjoying a little afternoon delight. It may not be the greatest Summer song of all time, but it holds real meaning for me and brings back wonderful memories of my late wife and I when we were young. Thanks for the YouTube link.
Summertime (PORGY & BESS)
