Good morning, Canteeners, Cubies, Newbies & Troops! Gosh I feel old when these song threads come up, but my favorite summer song is “My Summer Love” by Ruby & The Romantics, a lil gem from 1963. Hope you all enjoy your day; I’m off to Lubbock TX this Saturday!
LOL :)
I can be a lie detector. Especially, with the kids and they do know it. ;)
Yep, kids find out real early that Mom and Dad can tell those little “white lies” they are telling. Well, we probably tried the same thing when we were their age.
One of those:
Been there,
Done that,
Got the T shirt,
and wore it out.
((HUGS))Good morning, MEG33. How’s it going?
Busy day,,(((HUGS)))
You’re welcome.
Overall I’d say that it’s my all time favorite, but it’s a hard choice since my music tastes change day by day hour by hour.
It reminds me of sitting in the family station wagon, (with simulated wood door panels!), hearing this song over and over again. Larry Lujack had to be still DJing back then. Unggh!
40 ain't bad either, Kathy. Is the snow gone?
We too quickly went wicked hot for a week (high 70s to 80s) after rain and life outside exploded so fast you didn't want to over sleep.
Now it's cool again for about a week and is perfect for enjoyment as well as work.
Yay Spring!

Things, including, snow are just about back to the way they were last Thursday....jeez, is it only one week ago?
The lawn is just about done with any snow. Back to raking soon.
We were in the 50s yesterday, and probably the next 5 days.
Summer’s Cauldron - XTC
Drowning here in Summer’s Cauldron
Under mats of flower lava
Please don’t pull me out this is how I would want to go
Breathing in the boiling butter
Fruit of sweating golden inca
Please don’t heed my shout I’m relax in the undertow
When Miss Moon lays down
And Sir Sun stands up
Me I’m found floating round and round
Like a bug in brandy
In this big bronze cup
Drowning here in Summer’s Cauldron
Trees are dancing drunk with nectar
Grass is waving underwater
Please don’t pull me out this is how I would want to go
Insect bomber Buddhist droning
Copper chord of August’s organ
Please don’t heed my shout I’m relax in the undertow
When Miss Moon lays down
in her hilltop bed
And Sir Sun stands up
raise his regal head
Me I’m found floating round and round
Like a bug in brandy
In this big bronze cup
Drowning here in Summer’s Cauldron
