Most of the warming took place before 1940. We actually cooled from 42 to 79 (Hence the Times article about a coming iceage) and the there has been slight warming from 79 to 2000. Since 2000 there has been a slight cooling. If these goobers are correct, the overall average effect from 1940 until 2025, a total of 85 years of the worst CO2 production will be a cooling trend.

The “global warming crowd” must come up with some silly explanation as to why the data show that the climate is actually growing cooler. They must create a new model to fit their fairy tale. And they call themselves scientists?

yahh, one cold winter in the US, snow on the san gabriel mountains, etc... and all the globull warming alarmists are now going to say, “ohh, its not a load of crap, its just taking a break because we look really stupid yelling about global warming when there is snow all over the moutains. So we are going to wait till we have a hot summer, and then start the hysteria again.”

Oh man, you just wait, GW will come back and then you’ll be sorry! Is that what passes for science these days? They should just admit that they just don’t know and let us alone.

“Global warming may ‘stop’, scientists predict”
So it “may” ‘stop’. And then it “may” ‘start up’ again. Or it “may” not. Wow, I’m glad these global warming “scientists” have such a good handle on what’s happening with the weather.

Global warming will stop until at least 2015 because of natural variations in the climate, scientists have said. Let me translate:
(Global Warming Cult member 1): "We're losing the game? What can we do?"
(Global Warming Cult Member 2, or Algore...either works): "Easy. Move the goalposts, and we're back in the game!"

Man, do I feel stupid.
I thought that the climate was caused by the tilt of the Earth, and clouds. (and volcanos, and asteroid impacts)

At least these guys are trying to come up with something that matches the observations over the last decade and on into the future. The other models don't even try to explain why their impossibly simplistic models don't match reality.

No Dangit!
This can not be allowed to stand!
Otherwise my plans for setting up a series of beach front resorts around Prudhoe Bay will fall to naught!

Sounds like the Global Warming Cult of the Apocalypse figured out that people might notice when doomsday doesn’t arrive on the scheduled date.

That’s ten years for these scientists to change the subject & salvage what’s left of their careers — or retire. By then the popular Media will have forgotten about the whole Global Warming thing.

Writing in Nature, the scientists said: "Our results suggest that we cover our butts with a statement that says something MAY cause something else to happen that will make us look like fools if we don't put a statement out right now that says we looked again and it doesn't look like what we said it did in the first place." global surface temperature may not increase over the next decade, as natural climate variations in the North Atlantic and tropical Pacific temporarily offset the projected anthropogenic [manmade] warming.

the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines though, that one eruption is said to have put more pollutants in the air than all the automobiles ever built and driven up to the time of that event. One Act of God became a greater source of pollution that all the cars of history! One event, makes me realize how puny man is in comparison to the forces of nature and even if we tried to out pollute natural sources, we couldn't do it.
God built this planet to last and endowed it with the resources to recover and survive.
