Who do you want appointing Supreme Court Justices, McCain or Hillary/Obama?

I personally dont believe McCain was tortured. Is medal Of Honor receipent Bud Day a liar?
To: philetus
It wasnt Lack of treatment, it was poor treatment. Just like many poor people in this country get. Are you hoping and waiting for Hillary care?
To: Graybeard58
An awesome man. We learned about him and Levitow at basic training because they were the lowest ranked Air Force members to ever receive the MOH.

Oops...correction: We learned about Levitow because he was the lowest ranked guy to get the MOH, and Pitsenbarger because (at the time) of his AF Cross. As the website you pointed me to notes, he wasn’t given the MOH until 2000.

Why would you believe that John McCain's choices would actually be conservative?
Nothing in his last 7 years in office would lead any rational voter to believe that he would select any other type of jurist except one that looks at life like he does.
Remember his moniker "Maverick"?
He did not get that nick-name for going along with his party, in fact, he got that nick-name for bucking his party on some very important items which go counter to some of the most basic tenants of conservatism:
1. Gang of Fourteen (Kept some of President Bushs best judges from being presented for a vote)
2. McCain-Fiengold (Assault on Free Speech and Pro-Life
3. McCain-Kennedy (Amnesty for criminal Illegal Aliens)
4. McCain-Lieberman (50 cents a gallon tax)
5. Total support for global warming scam, including carbo cap and trade system.
6. Support for embryonic stem cell research (Murder of unborn babies).
7. Wants to close Gitmo and give Terrorists access to our legal system.
8. F grade from Gun-Owners of America.
9. C- grade from NRA.
10. 60% score from American Conservative Union in 2006
11. Wants to bail out sub-prime losers (many of which are either illegal aliens or lied on thier applications) with US tax money.
12. Voted against President Bushs tax cuts (called them tax-cuts for the rich)
13. Flirted with the idea of crossing over to the Dems in 2004.
14. Wants to implement a socialist Health Care proposal that includes providing tax-coffer monies (your tax dollars) to the states to provide Health Care Insurance for those who either refuse to pay for it, or are unable to afford it (mostly illegal aliens).
15. Divorced his wife after he got back from Vietnam. The same woman who remained true to him and raised his kids while he was imprisoned.
16. Refuses to drill in ANWR.
Now, with a record like that, why would you, or any other rational American believe that you would actually get a Supreme Court justice from John McCain that would pass muster by any serious conservative?

“Do you have a citation for item #7?”
It’s not my list, but from your question I guess that I have to believe that all but #7 are true.
That’s pretty damning even if the #7 is not accurate.

I see you’ve been back to the site since I posted my post 272, philetus. So why no answer? Am I to take this as you taking the latter option in “put up or shut up”?

I’d like to see philetus offer some evidence that McCain is lying about the reason he can’t reach over his head”
McCain said he broke both arms in the crash. I don’t know if he was tortured, but I have doubts.
I’ve read other first person POW stories and McCain’s sounds considerably easier.
McCain’s actions as a Republican politician doesn’t help to dispel my doubts. OK?

Because he said he would.
He also said McCain-Kennedy was not Amnesty

Is that you Karl or John?
Only somebody like those two people could so screw with the truth as to deny forgiving the felonies (Acquiring a fake ID, using that Fake ID to secure Employment and Health Care) and Misdemeanors (crossing the border) could be washed away by a $2,000 dollar (or whatever the $ amount was) fine and not call it Amnesty.
If you or I were to commit the same crimes with the same frequency that these criminals commit them we would be in prison for 10 years or more.

Amnesty is derived for political offenses against a government. It can also take definition to the millions of Illegals allowed to flood this Nation. States are being allowed to attack this problem. It appears that the state action is working, minus the idiot sanctuaries. He wanted everyone documented. It now seems that given their underground is melting it may not be needed. Answers are hard to come by to a nation that has murdered its base and needs to make it up somehow.
To: eyedigress
Actually I agree with what you are saying.
And it is horrible that we have murdered our unborn.
Our party has always been the Law and Order party and we already tried the Amnesty approach and it failed miserably.
It is too bad that McCain’s desire to be President and the need to pander have overcome his basic conservative GOP principles.
For many years at the beginning of his Senate career I believe he would have gotten a 100% ACU rating or close to it.
After 2000, he just seemed to snap.
