If I take Obama at his word...
JEFFHEAD.COM | 29 April 2008 | Jeff Head

Posted on 04/29/2008 12:22:46 PM PDT by Jeff Head

Today, Barack Hussein Obama indicated that he could indeed disown his long standing Uncle Wright...even though just a few weeks ago he said he could never do that.

Even though it stretches credibility to think that after 20+ years and so much close history together...after all, it was Obama who called Wright his mentor and spiritual advisor...that Obama could not have really "known" the real Jeremiah Wright, let's take him at his word that he did not.

My questions then are simple.

If, after 20+ years of a close relationship where it was clear to everyone else who Jeremiah Wright was, if after that long you so terribly misjudged the man...then please tell me Mr. Obama, who else have you misjudged so completely?

Who on your campaign staff? Who of your contributors? Who amongst your other close associates and friends?

More telling yet, Mr. Obama, Who will you so wholly misjudge in the future?

What leaders of nations? What members of your cabinet? What Judges you nominate?

The list could go on and on.

At this point I pray to God in Heaven that we will never have to find out the answer.

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH - BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY AND OBAMA'S CHURCH

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH - OBAMA'S CIRCLE OF FRIENDS AND SUPPORT

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH - BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA

Is it just me or does this talk today make Obama sound like a flip flopper and vacillator?? This whole Wright thing has been harmful in more ways than one.

"“We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain “true to our native land,” Africa."

Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. Col 3:11 I don't care if they want to rebuild Africa, more power to them. But this self-imposed sense of segregation as if (other than demographically) the black church is somehow different from the "white" church is absurd. We are either in the body of Christ or we are not. We may have differences in emphasis and we may have some doctrinal differences. But a black Christian is a Christian as are red ones and yellow ones and white ones and what ever color. Reverend Wright would appear to divide the body of Christ for his own benefit.

“You really give Obama and his crew too much credit.”

YOU really violate one of the axioms of war!

“Never underestimate your enemy”

So I would say you really don’t give Obama and his crew enough credit.

The race pimps protect their territory and the gravy train that goes with it.

Obama didn't listen to Rev. Al. He's still out there "grandstanding" for whitey.

My mind is made up...hehehe...and it was Obama and the Reverend who helped me.

As to Hillary...she is going to be viewed as stealing the nomination (if indeed she can) from the presumptive Black Messiah and therefore will lose huge segments of her requisite rainbow coalition and go down in flames herself.

Now...that response was for your comments if they were serious. If they were sarcastic, which I suspect, then my response is simple: hehehe!

They have a better chance of beating NASA to Mars.

Obama jumped fat Al’s latest gig, that is, the promise to bring the city to a standstill. That would show his power and get him money. I hear he has a lot of overdue parking tickets to pay, Lol!

There's no positive way out for Obama. The image of the new, fresh voice promoting unity and eschewing political calculation and insincerity is gone, for good.

But the legions will still flock to him - the ones that secretly (or not so secretly) support the elitist and anti-American tone occasionally peeking out of the the campaign.

At least Obama never said “macaca,” though. (Extreme sarcasm!)

I'd like to see Rev. Al's ride. Do Escalades have antennas that pull the foxtail in when they retract?

Now is the golden opportunity to connect obamama with the church he has stated his continued allegiance too. It’s more than his long friendship with the pastor – it’s the stated tenets of his church which he still clings to.

Which is precisely why McCain will not miss this opportunity to miss this opportunity.

He'll attack any Republican who dares pick this thing up more viciously than he ever attacked a Ted Kennedy liberal. Ask the folks in NC.

Obama, Wright, and Honesty [Rich Lowry]

What’s been most disturbing about this entire episode is how dishonest Obama has been, from his pretense that he didn’t know about Wright’s radicalism to his excuse now that Wright has somehow become a different person. How insulting that he thinks we’d buy any of this. I was struck in the FNS interview how, when asked what controversial statements he had heard from Wright, he said Wright would talk “about some of the problems in the black community in very controversial ways.” He probably did—but these were the most controversial things Obama heard? He was obviously trimming, trying to make Wright sound like an equal-opportunity hater. The simple thing for Obama to have done would have been to tell the truth from the beginning and say that he had made a mistake in staying at the church for so long, but he did so for complicated reasons that he could have spelled out in eloquent terms that would have made the press swoon. Instead, he did his dance in Philadelphia and uttered that line that will now haunt him. So now is Obama disowning the black community?

(can you imagine what he and the “Black caucus” will do if he is elected????)

If this is an example of his 'judgment',,,he ought to remove himself from the race right now.

Heck, he hasn't even addressed a bigger problem yet--his 'friend', the unapologetic, bomb-throwing TERRORIST Willam Ayres!!!

His ardent followers will lap this up, but most Americans will recognize this tom foolery for exactly what it is.

He cannot win without convincing independents and conservative democrats to climb on board...with these shenanigans they are bailing on him in droves.

AL'S JAG TOWED

"..April 29, 2008 -- Dude, where's my car?

The Rev. Al Sharpton may have felt something like the stoners in the film of that title when he emerged from a meeting in Queens yesterday with Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) - and found his 2007 Jaguar missing. Turns out it had been tagged for some $900 in tickets - and towed.

It isn't clear who owns the car. .."

Kinda like the McCain bashers will miss no opportunity to turn any thread into an anti McCain thread?

the whiners never miss an opportunity to turn, in this case even an anti=obama thread into an anti-McCain one...sad

He doesn’t ever want his kids “punished” with a baby and is teaching them the same, so the line will probably die out in any case.

It could have been planed between the two.

LAWTON: Wright says he warned Obama at the beginning of his career that their relationship could have negative ramifications.

Rev. WRIGHT: They're going to associate your name with mine, and that could be detrimental, I told him back then. It holds just as true, even more so, now.

------

Mr. Wright, who has long prided himself on criticizing the establishment, said he knew that he may not play well in Mr. Obama’s audition for the ultimate establishment job.

“If Barack gets past the primary, he might have to publicly distance himself from me,” Mr. Wright said with a shrug. “I said it to Barack personally, and he said yeah, that might have to happen.”
