Obama resorting to damage control. You would think he would that have said that stuff back when the Wright tapes first aired. So I guess he had no choice but to do a Sister Souljah on Wright. He's finally had to repudiate and disown him. To keep his candidacy politically viable.

Obama keeps saying, in essence, that Rev Wright is causing Obama a problem in the election, that’s the real reason Obama suddenly finds the remarks so offensive. He keeps saying Wright is not showing respect for what Obama and the American people are going through.

They guy doesn't have an elevator pitch? He doesn't have 30 seconds on Wright that he can unload at a moment's notice? He has to direct people to a TV show if they want to know how he feels about this issue?
Pathetic.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
“In United States politics, a Sister Souljah moment is a politician’s public repudiation of an allegedly extremist person or group, statement, or position perceived to have some association with the politician or their party. Such an act of repudiation is designed to signal to centrist voters that the politician is not beholden to traditional, and sometimes unpopular, interest groups associated with the party, although such a repudiation runs the risk of alienating some of the politician’s allies and the party’s base voters.”

It's all about this being an "insult to what we are trying to accomplish in this campaign". It's all about Obama and what is convenient to him.
How about loving your country?

Do people really buy this BS? I’d bet that he already talked to his, so called pastor, and they agreed to let Obama turn on him until he got elected. Then you would see the whole clan in the white house. This country isn’t ready for this and won’t be for a long time to come. I think they have just burnt all the bridges for the next 100 years.

"Guess it's time for a press conference."

The right words...
Unfortunately for him, most of us are wondering why he didn't run out of that 'church' 19.9 years ago, screaming the same words.
Now, whether sincere or not (and I'm guessing, 'not'), Mr. Obama's response just appears to be political damage control.
