Think of how many openly gay actors or musicians there are... now compare that with the fact that there has never been a professional athlete who was ‘out’ during his athletic career, last I heard at least. I know it sounds stereotypical, but I don’t think I’ve ever met a gay guy who played any sort of sports that didn’t involve a video game console.”
That’s probably because it’s less socially acceptable to be gay and in sport than it is in acting etc, so they stay in the closet...
