Hillary has Elton, I guess now Obama has Waters. I think I would take political advice from a group of five year old kids about as seriously as those two.

I saw one of the Darkside shows last year. There was actually a lot less left wing rhetoric than I had been led to believe. The special effects get a lot attention, but Waters had world class musicians onstage with him, and they were incredible. All in all, it was a very good show and didn’t feature any more liberal yammering than you get from a lot of other rock musicians.
If you get the concert DVD ‘In The Flesh’ you’ll see almost exactly the same lineup of musicians, and a lot of the same songs (plus the video and surround sound audio are top notch, and you don’t have contend with the crowds).

Waters is a musical genius and a philosophical midget. Listen to the words of “Amused to Death” for one nonsequiter after another in this warmed-over anti-war piece that would have been better suited for release when he originally penned it, rather than 20 years later and forced onto the template of the Gulf War.
Great music and accompanying vocals, though, but not a whit of philosophical insight.
