The child molesters won Short Creek bases on the same BS they are trying to pull here, DNA evidence has changed their little game book and they were to dumb to see it coming. It helped the cult that the Short Creek raid took place in an area that had lots of mormons. They didn't have the law watching them the way the Texans were. How do you think a blind eye was turned to them for decades? Do you think the votes that turned the governor Howard Pyle out were all from the cult itself?
"In the early-morning hours of July 26, 1953, more than 100 Arizona state police officers and soldiers with the National Guard entered Short Creek. Bradley said there is evidence that someone from within the Arizona Attorney General's Office had tipped off FLDS leaders about the raid. The some 400 inhabitants of Short Creek were "waiting in the school yard singing 'America' beneath a waving flag as the authorities arrived," a United Press article read." Interesting article at link.
Parallels to Short Creek raid in 1953 are pointed out

Why would these simple, humble and devoutly religious people ever have anything to do with the nasty, mean, bad, terrible, pedophile-despising, buttinsky government?
When they're not busy illegally planting their seeds, I mean...?
