Then there is a bigger culture problem in America than anyone thought. This acting out behavior, screaming and yelling about white people, is not an acceptable way for liberals to go about politics.

He's hiding behind religion, claiming this is preaching the gospel. It isn't.

Where CNN ever found those people thinking this was a great speech, only God knows.

That’s ok. Nothing has pleased me more than the fact that MSNBC didn’t have any live tv this evening. Olbermann and Matthews had to sit at home and watch this without drooling on national tv...and then explaining (as an Irish Catholic and a Jew) how good Wright is for the “national conversation on race” that we’re supposed to having...

It should be obvious that someone thinks whooping up racial hysteria serves a useful political purpose. They are using and exploiting black racial anxieties for some political game. It's disgraceful and does not serve the best interests of this country or African Americans.

Actually- when the whole Wright mess started I listened carefully to his sermons/speeches (and FOX played a good deal more than 30-second sound bites) and then watched the repsonse nationally and locally. I concluded exactly what you mentioned- there is a much greater cultural divide in America than I’d known. I thought I was fairly savvy- apparently I’ve been living under a rock.

The dirty little secret that we know and unfortunately some folks who are temporarily stuck like many of us were in "poverty" and didn't have a pot to piss in don't know is....Rev. Wright and Obama don't want you to succeed on your own. There would be no need for them or Gubmint Socialism if you did. They're capitalists and they know it.

He even got the JFK accent wrong. If you listen to it, JFK's Bostonian accent does not say "ask" the way Wright mocked.

The reverend sounds like he is running against the Klan in Selma, Alabama in the 1960s as if Civil Rights and Affirmative Action never happened.
