From what I understand from reading, the 1968 riots outside the Democratic Convention were bloody and included police beating people and arresting them This is the goal of ReCreate 68.
Does anyone else have anymore information on recreate 68?

Isn’t Rush Limbaugh behind “Recreate ‘68”? As part of Operation Chaos? LOL.

"Does anyone else have anymore information on recreate 68?"I think "Turd" Churchill is in support of it. No surprise there.

Rush talked to a guy from the Denver area who said that the police on both the state and local levels are getting ready for possible problems when the convention takes place.

The bar owner mayor of Denver has been playing down the threat, which may or may not be an attempt to starve them of attention and media to limit the number of hooligans who decide to jump on the recreate ‘68 bandwagon.
I just don’t think it’s going to be that big, most of the potential protestors in good enough physical condition to cause problems are going to be anywhere else in Colorado enjoying the summer.

Documentary from 1970 including news footage of the ‘68 protesters and inside the convention hall.

The video quality isn’t good, and it’s amateurishly put together, but it gives a good idea of what happened and what Recreate68 wants to recreate.
In the first few minutes, don’t miss Dan Rather getting pushed around on the convention floor!

The groups planning to riot were shown this photo.

Not one person knew who it was.

Interesting. That looks like a 9/11 Troofer site that’s bagging on Re-create ‘68. Maybe they’re jealous.

They have a website which I visited. I sent them an email asking them if they were old enough to remember the Democrat Convention of 1968 in Chicago. I am a native of Chicago and was 12 years old at that time and remember it vividly. I also asked them to recall the convention; I believe the Chicago Police Department won the street battles and a Republican, Richard M. Nixon won the election that year. I asked them if that’s what they wanted to recreate? I never got an answer back.....

Denver DNC 2008
Welcome to the "Re-create 68" website, your virtual activists' Convergence Center for the Denver Democratic National Convention of 2008. This website was created for all the grassroots people who are tired of being sold out by the Democratic Party.
R-68 agrees with the proposition, POTESTAS IN POPULO, "all power comes from the people." What stands between the people and power are the party machines. The parties were devised as a means to represent the people. Today they represent nobody, not even party members, but only party bureaucracy. The people have been left without appropriate institutions for their representation. We intend to create those institutions!
Join us in the streets of Denver as we resist a two-party system that allows imperialism and racism to continue unrestrained.

So where did all the hippies go? They settled down and procreated and made new little hippies just as screwed up as their mamas and papas.
To: LJayne
