Hi Woim, I think California has no free will and it has already (albeit, not officialy) left the Union by virtue of the fact that Mexico has taken the state over. I think the USA will eventually send it foreign aid when its social and economic infrastructure collapses - which is inevitable and should happen soon. By the way, I don’t think many Americans realize that Madison and Jefferson in the Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions of 1798-99 (authored secretly) said that the states could override Congress! And this was a decade AFTER the Constitution was ratified! I think this is the kind of states’ rights you may be referring to. Right?

As a native of California, a major problem here is the majority of people I know or meet are from other states.
They bring in their attitudes and political agenda and not for the good.

I enjoyed your response. You’re right, of course and I agree with you.

As for the collapse of California, I’m not saying I want it to happen but, the question arises, how soon do you think it will be before social unrest and state/societal collapse happens? Or, more likely, it will simply seem like business as usual as the quality of services decrease and taxes and levies and fees increase?

Yours truly,
The Woim
