Hillary planted story.
Well, if Hillary had withdrawn earlier, she wouldn’t have had the time to do the damage to Obama she’s done, and I’m not sure McCain has the appetite to do it himself, so it could work out well, just so long as Obama ultimately gets the nomination. But I do now see a real possibility Hillary will grab it from him, though that of course would set off a major firestorm within the Dem party. What an absolutely amazing campaign!
But what do I know, I am just enjoying the fight. he he
Do not fear. Rush knows what he’s doing, and it’s working magnificently.
“Lanny Davis: McGovernesque Obama Would Lose 49 States”
Democrats are beginning to panic, they see the trainwreck coming, and they can’t do ANYTHING to prevent it now.
I am the Bitter, Small-town, Gun-Clinging Typical White Person I have been waiting for....
McCain and Repubs are caught in a Conundrum against the Obamamessiah.
ANYTHING they say or do that attacks or hurts Obama is going to have the leftist mouthpieces screaming “RACISM!!!!”, and they KNOW it.
But, the Demographics out of PA make it CLEAR that while he draws big crowds of young folk, they won’t always show up to vote for him.
I have to say that there really is something to Hillary’s point that in the large states, especially swing states, Obama has performed very poorly. And it’s not going to get any easier because, while the media does like Obama, ethically they are like sharks. They lose self control when they sense blood in the water.
I agree that is certainly a genuine possibility at this point. I do disagree with those in this forum who believe if she does come out with the nomination it should be blamed on Operation Chaos.
OC has not kept her in the race, the Clinton ego and lust for power has done that. It was a foregone conclusion that she would go all the way. OC has just been a nice piece of psychological warfare that has disoriented the Dems, very successfully.
We hear repeatedly that Hillary can't win without the supers. But neither can Obama. Numerically there is really not that much separating them. It's been mostly media perception and biased hype. And IMO a lot of that has been simple payback by a lot of people that have been waiting a long time to get even. The Clintons have a long list of people they have screwed over the years.
I also disagree with many here that feel one will be significantly weaker or stronger than the other. The determining factors are simple and basic on that point.
First, will the media close ranks after the nomination and do the usual complete whitewash of the Dem candidate in the general election campaign as it usually does? I think so.
Second, can or will McLame exploit the myriad of vunerabilities that both of them have? Very questionable if his behavior so far indicates anything.
Will the race or "gender" card be played by the Dems and the media? Absolutely.
Will McLame fold when it is played? His response to the NC ad doesn't bode well at all.
I wonder if he says it when he has to use the toilet.
I sure felt it. But that wasn't the air slowly seeping. It was a huge gust when the Obama bubble burst.
Hmmm, I'm starting to get the picture here and it's not pretty. I'm thinking thats not air leaking out
This may well be true. Hillary can outlast four years, but in eight years, she will be too old. I say this as a gal: women generally age faster (visibly, at least) than men. So Hillary may well prefer a McCain win to an Obama win.
However this may well backfire with the electorate as a whole. Increasing numbers of Americans are way fed up with race baiting and preferences which so often (witness Michelle O) go unappreciated, in any case. The whole racial song and dance has gotten so old. People resent the fact that it's okay, according to the dems and media, to negatively stereotype whites and andlessly blame them for minority problems. This is the reason why Obama's pastor disaster and his guns/religion comments are resonating.
Many more people feel this way than are willing to say so publicly. I think this is really going to show up at the polls in Nov. I am guessing that this election will be a way for people to show how they feel about the perpeutual blame, guilt-mongering, and preferences game.
Obama may well become the target for voters to express their opinions regarding racial politics as it has been played for so many years. His initial pose was of one who would lead America beyond the current racial morass, but it is becoming increasingly clear that his solutions would probably only be much more of same. I can't imagine a majority of voters welcoming that sort of future for America.
A reasoning person wouldn't think so, but that is what has been going on for decades. It's done every day on the news and there is very little objection.
A lot of people may be upset with Wright and Obama's wife, but a pretty large number have also worked hard to provide cover and support for their statements and beliefs. A LOT of people have a serious vested interest in keeping the race balkanization thing going full blast.
