I'm really not in the mood for a pissing contest, but I will say this. My Dad retired as on O-5 (that's a Lieutenant Colonel) in the USAF. He was a Buff Driver (That's a B-52 to you.) Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam, you name it. He met my mother at a SAC base (Loring, Fort Fairfield, Maine.)

My dad flew a bit before yours did, piloting the B17 and crash landing near Ghent, Belgium in 1944.
