>I feel McCain is unbalanced. I cannot be expected to vote for an unbalanced person. McCain is not a conservative conservative. I cannot be expected to vote for a non-conservative. And so I sha’nt.<

Nor shall I. Read David McCullough’s “John Adams”. We had a man like that running by the name of Duncan Hunter. But they, including many on this forum, wouldn’t permit a conservative to get anywhere. This was our last chance to elect a true American patriot, but people wouldn’t listen.
Now we all must suffer their results.

I have read that book and others on Adams. John Adams was magnificent during the Revolution. A case could be made that we wouldn't have won without him.

As our second President, however, he stunk. He was our first liberal President. (see the "Alien" and "Sedition" acts, both flagrantly unconstitutional.) After losing to Jefferson, and before he left office, he packed the federal courts with like-minded liberals, Marbury of Marbury v. Madison, being the most notable...where the Constitution was emasculated...we haven't and we won't recover from that one appointment.
