It's not much of an exaggeration to say that Nigeria has three main things available for export: sand, migrant workers and yellowcake. The idea an Iraqi “trade delegation” went there for anything but yellowcake is absurd.

We're talking about Niger, not Nigeria (names are close, but they're different countries). I understand that Niger also has lots of goats and lots of chickpeas (really) so maybe Saddam had his eye on some sexy goats to be fed on a diet of chickpeas..... in reality, though, no rational person can doubt that the approach to Niger was about uranium. That leaves bloviating Joe Wilson as most obviously NOT a rational (or honest) person.
