Ted Turner's Next Prophecy: Food Riots 'Going to be More Commonplace'

The current food shortage is going to get worse before it gets better – at least that’s the way the founder of CNN sees it.

Ted Turner was interviewed by CNBC’s Bob Pisani on the April 25 “Closing Bell.” He addressed the recent food shortages causing rationing and riots all over the globe and said it’s just a sign of things to come.

“There are a lot of different problems being caused by an ever-increasing number of people in a finite-sized world,” Turner said. “The resources of the planet just can’t keep up with the demand and I’m afraid this going to be more commonplace. I’m afraid we’re just seeing the tip of the iceberg. It’s very complicated I do want to say.”

Al Gore and the false global warming scare-mongering is responsible for this.

Might be more of a sure thing if you were to hire Robert Mugabe as a consultant once Zimbabwe is declared a success and if he retires alive.

The world is “finite-sized”? Who knew? Thanks to Ted for enlightening us all. And here I thought it was infinite all this time. Sheeesh.

So teddy...quit eating. That would mean one less big, stupid mouth like yours to feed. Works for me.

“And Charleton Heston is going to have to investigate the real source of the protein.”

I really want to post a picture of Ms. Lewinsky right here.

Well, Ted, I for one see a bright side to your proclamation that global warming will cause mass food riots (and cannibalism). When it is a dozen degrees warmer in ten years, the food rioters won’t have to wear coats.

And the Liberals think they are so intellectually brilliant, so above the “little people”. Ted Turner is a poster child for moronic stupidity. Nothing else can describe this idiot that obviously eats a bowl of stupid every morning for breakfast, and dines on a plate of elitism.

40 years until we all turn into cannibals folks, never forget...lol..! Were Earth a garden he would be the first weed the gardener would pull.

This comment from the man who personally owns more acreage than any other single owner in the USA

Doesn't Jack Simplot, the Idaho "potato king," still hold the title of the U.S.'s largest single land owner? He did a few years ago.

Unlike Useful Idiot Ted, Simplot uses his land to the best possible purposes: farming, cattle-ranching, feedlots, logging, dairies, mining, even aquaculture. In contrast, Turner wants literally to let the country go back to the wolves.

He used to be very bright. However, he appears to be suffering the ravages of aging, in particular a form of dementia similar to paranoia.

The resources of the planet just can’t keep up with the demand

funny, when we were drilling for our own oil and didn't have libs withthe brilliant idea of burnign food for fuel, we had plenty of food. I'll tell you this, if there are food riots, I'm turning to cannibalism and making "Soylent Liberals" They boast of great taste, but are mostly bland without any real substance!

Yes, and he has probably had the disease all along, but due to senility he is now vocalizing when he used to keep his yap shut.
