What a difference two weeks of intense campaigning can make. The final two weeks of campaigning in the Pennsylvania Primary may not have changed the outcome of the Democratic race, but it helped John McCain in the Keystone State.
Two weeks ago, in Pennsylvania, Hillary Clinton enjoyed a nine-point lead over McCain and Barack Obama had an eight-point edge over the Republican hopeful. Now, however, Clinton’s lead is down to five points and Obama trails McCain by a point.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in Pennsylvania finds McCain with a statistically insignificant 44% to 43% advantage over Obama. Clinton attracts 47% of the vote against McCain while the Republican earns 42%.
According to pollster.com, three reliable pollsters - SurveyUSA, Rasmussen & Strategic Vision are now frequently putting PA into McCain’s column if Obama is the nominee.

Yes. The most reliable polling firm this cycle SurveyUSA has constantly showed a tie between McCain and Obama in MA.
I think Patrick has hurt Obama great deal in MA.
If the democrat nominee can not win Mass, they are pretty much sunk.
Mass is a bit different this cycle, and it won’t be kind to Obama, IMHO.
Clinton racked up the biggest margin(in a big state) of 15% over Obama in MA for a reason. They have a black governor - Patrick who ran exactly the same empty platform as Obama. His campaign manager is Obama’s current campaign manager as well.
Patrick has been a disaster since taking the office. Lots of scandals, incompetent governing. Voters are not happy about this, and I think Obama is going to face some serious backlash. With black voters, you can expect to get 95% of their votes even if you’re caught with a dead girl and live boy in bed as long as your skin color is black. No luck in MA since they do not have lots of black people.
If MA gets called for McCain on election night, it's time to start opening the champange bottles.
Why would the election of McCain warrant champange?
The only upside I see to McCain winning, against either Obama or Hillary is that the democrats will have so screwed up and destroyed themselves that an election they should have been able to win without trying they were able to screw up and it will be just great fun watching the DUmmies and oter assorted nutjob leftists explode over having a republican in the white house for another 4 years.
Other than that, either way we are screwed.
And unfortunately, I really do not see any prospects of retaking the House or Senate, or even holding the democrat majorities near what they are now. I think those will both be blowouts for the dems.
Unless by some miracle the democrats devolve into a total mess and disaster following the convention that people, no matter who the GOP candidate is or for what office just can not vote for a democrat.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Republicans might be able to take back the House. The DemocRATS won quite a few House seats in 2006 in districts that tend to be Republican. A strong showing at the top of the ticket could flip many of those seats back. If Obama is the nominee, there could be a serious backlash against DemocRATS down the ballot in red states and red areas of blue states. A Repulican controlled House would be a tremendous help in blockin the DemocRATS and many of McCain's idiotic ideas.
The problem with this poll is that Obama is not running against McCain.
