Thanks for putting perspective on the Katrina deal. GWB must shoulder a small amount of blame, but much of it is for doing too much, not too little.

McCain is being a hotdog claiming he would have flown into New Orleans. Like you said he would them become part of the problem and not part of the solution.

The blame for New Orleans, a classic example of dependence on gov’t, falls first on the people for ignoring the warnings and not leaving. Second on the mayor who took care of his family and left his community to suffer. And third was the failure of the LA governor to act quickly and decisively.

The President should be faulted for throwing good money after bad. LOTS of good money.

The media failed to report the truth and instead took every opportunity to take potshots at the President.
