Whoa. Slow down.

I don't think I have received so many exclamation points in a post in a long time.

When the story first broke, we were lied to and continue to be lied to. But the way the authorities are handling this is horrible beyond belief!

I think the state of Texas has been brave, courageous, and has done a wonderful job given the circumstances of this mess. The citizens of Texas didn't create this monster. Don't shoot the messenger. If you want instant justice, or demand to know which child should be reunited with which mother - it can't be done right now. Even the FLDS mothers say they don't know which children are theirs. That is the reason for the judge ordering the DNA testing.

The state of Texas is being demanded to become King Solomon overnight. That is totally unreasonable when even the woman cannot tell authorities who their own children are.

Why didn’t they round up all the MEN?!

A very good question. The reason is evidence, and the law. Evidence is being gathered right now with interviews of the children and the mothers who will talk. Texas and CPS are being criticized for acting outside the law - and now you accuse them for not acting quickly enough. They really can't win.

And the “abused girl” who started it all is a 33 year old nut job who is known for filing false reports.

That has been proven to be completely false by the Associated Press. Read this FR Link.

Excerpt:

AP is the party that got the affidavit unsealed and this is on the AP website: "The false-reporting charge against Swinton stems from a February 911 call from a woman calling herself "Jennifer." The document said she claimed her father had locked her in her basement for days.....NOTE: JENNIFER not SARAH!

Planned Parenthood aborts the evidence of older men getting teenage girls pregnant and society turns a blind eye and deaf ear.

Abortion is sinful and wrong. That is a different subject than the fate of these children, and the FLDS cult.

It is evil evil evil to take these children away from their mothers. What on earth is happening here?

Baloney. What we do know (and this is even acknowledged by the FLDS) is that the mothers would allow their 13, 14, or 15 year old girls (not women you see) to be entered into the "Joy Book" meaning they were eligible for "marriage."

Justify that. I dare you.

These children are going to be destroyed.

So shall it be written by you? You are not God. I came from an abusive family. I survived - I was not destroyed. You are not God to declare them destroyed.

This is monstrous! The men at the ranch volunteered to all leave if they would let the women and children return. But oh, no, the state has to show its muscle. This is sick and evil.

The "men" at that ranch have complete control over these women and girls. Volunteered to leave? That was boob bait for the bubbas. Texas already told their lawyers they could not permit the children to go back into that abusive environment. The "men" only made that PR claim of false chivalry through their lawyers when they knew darn well Texas wouldn't act on it.

I am just trying to understand you, so this is why I ask this question. Are you LDS Sandra?

Thanks in advance.

I am Catholic, not LDS, and I think that what the state of Texas did was illegal.

One shouldn't take away a single child, let alone a huge number of them, without probable case that the child is in danger. I don't think anyone alleges that any child under 13 is in danger - but why did they take all of them? Evidence? Since when can you take a child away from his/her parents for evidence? Since now I guess.
