A U.S. Army mechanical engineer has been arrested on charges that he slipped classified documents about nuclear weapons to an employee of the Israeli Consulate.

Hang him. The fact that it was the Israelis is not relevant. He is a traitor and did more than simply abandon his post, he betrayed his trust and duty.
I agree, it’s unfair. They should all be shot.
“What damage to our country did Pollard do that is so much more horrific than the damage done by these other convicted spies?”
Well the five top secret reports on China that ultimately got to China come to mind. (These he gave to wife who used them to impress her new bosses, BTW, not to Israel.)
So they got off light. I don't agree with it. And it's still more than "three months".
What damage to our country did Pollard do that is so much more horrific than the damage done by these other convicted spies?
Firstly, I note that you failed to answer my questions. That reflects badly on you.
Secondly, See #36. I don't know what was in those documents, neither do you. Those who did know, sentenced him to life in prison. I'm second-guessing their judgment only to the extent that I think they probably let Pollard off too lightly.
What's worse is the pro-Pollard crowd trying to make a hero out of the POS.
Israel & America are separate countries.
Are you saying that because other traitors were given lighter sentences, this traitor should get off easily? I would suspect the seriousness of their offence plays a role in their sentence. I think Pollard and this guy should be hung, and I think Israel should be punished for spying on the “ally” who does so much to support them. If it weren’t for the US, Israel wouldn’t exist, yet they spy on us, even though we already give them everything they want.
it’s never ok no matter who does it. But if we can’t prosecute the clinton admin for it, does it mean this traitor should get a free pass? NOPE.
I already read your profile some months ago... If you ask me, you put too much effort into your attempt at justifying NBF as your screen name. In vain I might add... I still fail to see what message picking a traitor who had Republicans and former slaves hanged should send.
You can cherry pick a-hole TRAITORS all you want. End the end, you are still just supporting traitors.
You should not “give us everything,” whatever that is. We do not need you to exist.
I think Israel & America’s relationship has crossed the line (& it’s Israel’s fault). I know this is a very unpopular opinion here, but I made the decision to start saying it a lot more, for the good for my country (Israel).
Is that a rhetorical question? Obviously much more based on the evidence and the USG assessment of what classified information was compromised. Aldric Ames, Brian Reagan, and John Walker are some recednt spies who received life sentences. You seem to believe that the decision of sentencing should be based on to whom it is released rather than the sensitivity and importance of the information itself. If that is the case, you are wrong.
Another recent spy for Israel, Larry Franklin, only received 12 years, 7 months, for his crime. So, it is false to say that Pollard's life sentence was somehow unfair because he spied for Israel. Not all US citizens who spy for Israel receive life sentences.
But from a person who believes that the Bible says all those things (which it does), It’s not about country, it’s about GOd.
It could be their perspective that this is entirely justified, in fact, required.
That’s some of the underlying themes of LaHaye, Jenkins and Rosenerg’s books, is it not?
whenever you want dad to kick you out of the house and you decide to start paying your own way, say the word...
As is your overlong justification of NBF. I have no grudge against you and I'm not even offended. NBF is just a lame choice when you accuse others of "defending traitors".
Cheers.
(BTW I always valued your eloquence.)
Thank you for the kind words.
Been saying for a lot time & I’m not the only Israeli saying it. Save your money for the Arabs, they’re the ones who are going to need it.
I’m not a Christian & I’ve read none of those books. All I can say is that I suppose it’s true that if one truly believes that HaShem said that Jews are G-d’s chosen people, then America is of no more importance than Guyana. But I don’t know, that is for Christians to work out.
