They are in a quandry. They don’t like polygamy but they have to accept that it was practiced by the Dear Leader. Condemning the practice would put them in danger of criticizing the founders.

It’s a hard line to walk.

You'll notice my next immediate post after your own refers to the story of the Good Samaritan and proposes that the judge bring in Mother Theresa's nuns.

I'm afraid the F(lds) is so "outcast" no one is going to be able to tend to their spiritual needs, particularly not folks with a history of and a religious hangup over polygamy.

Abraham - 2 wives Jacob - 2 wives, 2 mistresses King David - 8 wives plus mistresses King Solomon - 700 wives, 300 concubines

Somehow, the Jewish people manage to condemn the practice even though it puts them in danger of criticizing the founders.

I don't speak up when people point out errors by the Prebyterian Church - USA. They aren't my church. I'm Prebyterian Church in America. I only speak up if someone mistakenly attributes a bad act from PCUSA to the PCA church.

I remember in my college job, I had a co-worker who was in I believed the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He kept telling me they were "not the Mormons". Later I was reminded of that when that TV show "Dinasaurs" was on, with the baby who called the dad "Not the Mommy".
