Sorry to late, the milky way is currently "colliding is another small galaxy, the Sagittarius Dwarf Galaxy. In fact this collision is occurring in our neighborhood and there is a very real possibility of some of the stars from Sagittarius passing thru our solar system. Needless to say that would be very bad.

Or maybe the opposite. There's a short SF story, where another planet's Adam and Eve, instead of fleeing from God, stand up to him. They attack the angel who is sent to kick them out. When God comes, they don't attack Him, but say "You gave us this garden. If it is ours, then we enjoy it as we see fit. If that is not what you want, then kill us and get it over with."
At which point, God comes down and says, "I have created planet after planet, only to get pets and opwering worshipers. At last, I have found My Children."
Obviously; you can't even spell his name...
