OrthoTriCyclen does not *prevent* implantation nor does it cause an implanted fertilized egg to be shed via menses. It works primarily to prevent ovulation. It also makes implantation more difficult (not impossible) and it may make it more difficult (not impossible) for sperm to reach an unfertilized egg. I don't consider either of these two secondary effects of this contraceptive to be “abortion.” If you do, then we have a difference of opinion.
