Clinton hits Obama over friendship with 60’s radical (Is Hussein too young to understand terrorism?)

Clinton hits Obama over friendship with 60’s radical
by Bill Sammon, The Examiner
Apr 18, 2008 3:00 AM

WASHINGTON - Encouraged by the fallout over Barack Obama’s ex-pastor, Hillary Clinton’s campaign on Thursday attacked Obama for befriending a radical who once bragged of bombing the Pentagon.

Clinton seemed to be trying to turn William Ayers, a former member of the Weather Underground, into the next Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s controversial spiritual mentor. In a New York Times article published on Sept. 11, 2001, Ayers boasted of bombing the Pentagon and other government buildings, adding: “I don’t regret setting bombs. I feel we didn’t do enough.”

That quote was cited Thursday by Clinton spokesman Phil Singer, who questioned why Obama has “maintained a relationship” with Ayers.

The Ayers controversy was raised Wednesday at a Democratic debate by moderator George Stephanopoulos after the question was suggested to him by Sean Hannity during an interview on Hannity’s radio show.

Asked by The Examiner to respond to this line of attack, Obama campaign manager David Plouffe countered that former President Bill Clinton pardoned two members of the Weather Underground. Susan Rosenberg had been in prison for her role in an armed robbery that left three people dead, while Linda Evans had been in prison on weapons and explosive charges in connection to a string of bombings.

“The Clinton campaign for awhile said their total mission was to try and convince superdelegates that we were unelectable because of Reverend Wright, so maybe they’re going to focus on Ayers now,” Plouffe said. “There’s a desperation in the campaign.”

Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson rejected the comparison to Rosenberg and Evans saying Obama’s campaign has called the candidate’s relationship with Ayers “friendly.” The two served on a board together, and Ayers once hosted a fundraiser for Obama.

“We’re not talking about whether or not Senator Obama ran into somebody at an ice cream store in Hyde Park; we’re talking about somebody who was a key supporter of his first race for elected office,” Wolfson said.

"And the notion that somehow, as a consequence of me knowing somebody [Ayers] who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my values doesn't make much sense," Obama said.

The rookie remains a rookie.

This picture of Hussein Obama looks eerily like some of those thugs standing beside and behind Louis Farrakhan during his speeches. Scary.

Clinton is playing this all wrong. She is giving Obama the opportunity to hit back with her own radical past and Clinton’s pardoning of the FALN terrorists.

I wonder if any of these people belong in the White House.

Hillary and the Black Panthers: The Real Story
Richard Poe
Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003

I can't take it anymore. If one more person sends me that e-mail about Hillary and the Black Panthers, I'll have to be dragged away screaming in a straitjacket.

You know the e-mail I'm talking about. It accuses Hillary of helping the Black Panthers get away with torture and murder during the early 1970s. With the 2004 presidential race drawing near, the spam mills are creaking to life, flooding the Internet once more with this agitprop classic.

Unfortunately, the e-mail mingles good information with bad, sowing more confusion than enlightenment. Some versions, for instance, carry the byline of radio talk jock Paul Harvey, who says he did not write it. Such misrepresentations help Hillary defenders dismiss the e-mail as a hoax.

The story is no hoax, though. Its basic elements can be found in respected Hillary biographies and exposes such as Barbara Olson's "Hell to Pay," David Brock's "The Seduction of Hillary Rodham," Joyce Milton's "The First Partner" and Carl Limbacher's "Hillary's Scheme."

Here are the facts:

In May 1969, fishermen discovered the body of Black Panther Alex Rackley floating in Connecticut's Coginchaug River. Rackley's captors had clubbed him, burned him with cigarettes, scalded him with boiling water and stabbed him with an ice pick before finally shooting him in the head.

New Haven detectives learned that the Panthers suspected Rackley of being a police informer. Panther enforcers had tied him to a chair and tortured him for hours. Police arrested eight Panthers and later extradited Panther leader Bobby Seale from California, after a witness accused Seale of ordering Rackley's death. (1)

Campus radicals supported the Panthers. They organized mass protests in support of the so-called "New Haven Nine." Hillary was right in the thick of it.

By the time she entered Yale Law School in 1969, Hillary was already a radical celebrity on campus. Life magazine had featured Hillary in a piece titled, "The Class of '69," which showcased three student activists whom Life's editors deemed the best and brightest of the year. A line Hillary used in her Wellesley College commencement speech appeared under her photo: "Protest is an attempt to forge an identity." (2)

At Yale, Hillary helped edit the Yale Review of Law and Social Action – a left-wing journal which promoted cop-killing and featured cartoons of pig-faced police. (3)

A series of hard-Left mentors introduced Hillary to the brass-knuckle realities of revolutionary activism. As a Wellesley undergraduate, she met and interviewed radical organizer Saul Alinsky, whose Machiavellian tactics she admired. Hillary's senior thesis supported Alinsky's call for class warfare. (4)

At Yale, Hillary found a new Svengali in the form of left-wing law professor Thomas Emerson, known around campus as "Tommy the Commie." Emerson recruited Hillary and other students to help monitor the trial of the New Haven Nine for civil rights violations. Hillary took charge of the operation, scheduling the students in shifts, so that student monitors would always be present in the courtroom. She befriended and worked closely with Panther lawyer Charles Garry. (5)

Some believe that the enormous pressure exerted by the Left helped ensure light sentences for the New Haven Nine. Whether or not this is true, the punishments were mild.

"Only one of the killers was still in prison in 1977," reports John McCaslin in the Washington Times. "The gunman, Warren Kimbro, got a Harvard scholarship and became an assistant dean at Eastern Connecticut State College. Ericka Huggins, who boiled the water for Mr. Rackley's torture, got elected to a California school board." (6)

Hillary's defenders argue that she played no "significant" role in the New Haven Nine's defense. This is semantic hairsplitting. Obviously, Hillary was less "significant" than Charles Garry or "Tommy the Commie" Emerson. But Hillary served as a trusted lieutenant to these movers and shakers. Moreover, she had a national profile as a campus activist. Hillary was no rank-and-file student protester, as her apologists claim.

Indeed, Hillary's work for the Panthers won her a summer internship at the Berkeley office of attorney Robert Treuhaft in 1972. A hardline Stalinist, Treuhaft had quit the Communist Party in 1958 only because it was losing members and no longer provided a good platform for his activism. (7) "Treuhaft is a man who dedicated his entire legal career to advancing the agenda of the Soviet Communist Party and the KGB," notes historian Stephen Schwartz. (8)

The defense of the New Haven Nine marked Hillary's initiation into the sinister underworld of the hard-core, revolutionary Left. To my knowledge, Hillary has never publicly renounced nor apologized for her role in that movement.

Article: "REVOLUTIONARY HEROS"

excerpt...

"On May 1st, May Day, the day of the gigantic Free Huey rally, two of Alioto's top executioners vamped on the brothers from the Brown Community who were attending to their own affairs. These brothers, who are endowed with the revolutionary spirit of the Black Panther Party defended themselves from the racist pig gestapo.

Pig Joseph Brodnik received his just reward with a big hole in the chest. Pig Paul McGoran got his in the mouth which was not quite enough to off him.

The revolutionary brothers escaped the huge swarm of pigs with dogs, mace, tanks and helicopters, proving once again that "the spirit of the people is greater than the man's technology."

To these brothers the revolutionary people of racist America want to say, by your revolutionary deed you are heroes, and that you are always welcome to our camp."

There must be photos of Ayers and Obama together. They were on the same board, and spoke at the same events. A post 9-11 pic of them locking eyes, shaking hands or hugging would be the finishing touch to the coming campaign ad, that counterposes McCain the VN POW, vs. Ayers the terrorist bomber, his 9-11 comments, and friendship with Obama.

Hillary and Black Panthers were a happening thing in the 60s as well.

So according to Hilly-—they are both DISQUALIFIED, i.e. red-carded, two technicals, weakest-linked, ejected and rejected.

That 8-year old should have picked up a newspaper. Ayres and Dohrn weren’t your low-keyed Weather Underground troops - they were headline news across the nation for quite awhile. Not only were innocent civilians being killed, MSM played these bombers up like the new Manson family.

Obama friend and associate, William/Bill Ayers, from his own red-communist-star-headed website, calls out Hannity and 'others' to debate communism vs capitalism!

Bill Ayers, April 6, 2008:
Imperialism. I’m against it, and if Sean Hannity and others were honest, this is the ground they would fight me on. Capitalism played its role historically and is exhausted as a force for progress: built on exploitation, theft, conquest, war, and racism, capitalism and imperialism must be defeated and a world revolution—a revolution against war and racism and materialism, a revolution based on human solidarity and love, cooperation and the common good —must win.

We begin by releasing our most hopeful dreams and our most radical imaginations: a better world is both possible and necessary.

Note: Ayers is quite possibly quoting Bob Avakian, chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party, with the phrase 'both possible and necessary' in regards to a communist overthrow of the US government. See these Yahoo search results for "bob avakian" + "possible and necessary"

Great minds...

In brief, Hillary might want to be careful to play the association game, when her previous mentors were (to name a few) Saul Alinsky, Thomas (Tommy the commie) Emerson, Charles Garry, and (hardline Stalinist) Robert Treuhaft.

Hillary has some Stalinist plans for us, if she ever gets that first election.

(Not that Obama doesn't)

Clinton's sympathy for Marxist terrorists
September 27, 1999
©2008 WorldNetDaily.com

Between 1974 and 1985 the FALN (Puerto Rican Armed Forces of National Liberation) organized 120 terrorist bombings in the United States. Many Americans were killed in those bombings, and many more were crippled. In 1983, another Puerto Rican terrorist group known as the Macheteros, attacked and robbed a Wells Fargo armored car in Connecticut. The Macheteros intended to use the money to finance a terrorist campaign against the United States. Working under the cover of Puerto Rican nationalism and claiming to act on behalf of the "oppressed people of Puerto Rico," the FALN and the Macheteros are nothing but Communist revolutionaries. Both groups were organized by Fidel Castro's secret police. The ultimate goal of the FALN and the Macheteros is the creation of an independent Marxist-Leninist dictatorship on the island of Puerto Rico.

While Timothy McVeigh awaits execution and has no chance of receiving a pardon for his role in the Oklahoma City bombing, President Clinton has seen fit to pardon 11 FALN terrorists and five Macheteros who have been serving prison sentences in the United States. Some people are wondering why Clinton did this. It was not a popular move. What pressing political reason did Clinton have for releasing 16 Communist terrorists and revolutionaries from jail?

If we look back to the Vietnam War, we find that Clinton gave active support to the Viet Cong -- who were also terrorists. Clinton also gave his support to the Marxist-Leninist dictatorship of Ho Chi Minh. Writing to ROTC Director Eugene Holmes in December 1969, Clinton admitted to working for a Communist front organization, the Vietnam Moratorium. Clinton acknowledged, "One of the national organizers of the Vietnam Moratorium is a close friend of mine. After I left Arkansas last summer, I went to Washington to work in the national headquarters of the Moratorium, then to England to organize Americans for the demonstrations of Oct. 15 and Nov. 16."

Clinton is a smart man, and he certainly was perceptive enough to realize who he was working for.

The Vietnam Moratorium was first conceived at a meeting in Stockholm in May 1969. The meeting was sponsored by the Soviet-controlled World Peace Council through the auspices of the National Committee to End the War in Vietnam, also known as the Student Mobilization Committee -- or MOBE. According to a secret FBI memo issued in October 1969, "Communists are playing dominant roles in ... the Student Mobilization Committee." Present at the Stockholm meeting was the Viet Cong leader Nguyen Thi Binh. Also present was a North Vietnamese Communist official, Nguyen Minh Vy. As it happens, the work of MOBE was praised by Leonid Brezhnev and Aleksei Kosygin.

In July 1969 MOBE was reorganized by veteran Communist Party member Sidney Peck and a group of activists from the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS), a Marxist think tank from which President Clinton has made several key appointments. IPS was founded by Richard Barnet and Marcus Raskin in 1963. Most of the money they used came from the Samuel Rubin Foundation. According to Dr. Rael Jean Isaac, Rubin was a Comintern member and a Communist agent.

The founders of IPS, Barnet and Raskin, dedicated themselves to helping Communist revolutionaries. Both men hated the United States and openly supported the Communist cause during the Vietnam War. In the mid 1980s Barnet visited Communist Nicaragua, staying at the home of Thomas Borge, chief of Nicaragua's secret police.

Now declassified, FBI File 100-447935-119 makes special mention of the Institute for Policy Studies, stating that "this group played an insidious and influential role in developing strategy and tactics for all phases of subversion, seditious activity, racial conflict and revolutionary political agitation and violence. ..."

Should we be shocked to discover that President Clinton has appointed outright Marxist subversives from the IPS to key government jobs? An IPS leader and an outspoken Marxist, Derek Shearer, was appointed as one of Clinton's top economic advisors, and was later appointed U.S.

Ambassador to Finland. IPS leader Morton Halperin, a supporter of the notorious KGB agent and CIA turncoat Philip Agee, is now a leading official in the State Department. Anthony Lake, Clinton's one-time National Security Advisor, was once an IPS instructor.

Given these appointments, President Clinton's clemency for Puerto Rican Communist revolutionaries shouldn't surprise anyone. According to a recent article by J. Michael Waller in Insight magazine, the White House has been secretly pushing to get a U.S. entry visa for Castro's terrorism chief, Fernando Garcia Bielsa. Waller explains that Bielsa, a high ranking Cuban official, is charged with overseeing the terrorist activities of the FALN and the Macheteros.

According to provisions of the 1996 Anti-Terrorism Act, entry into the United States is to be denied to any person who is a representative or member of a designated terrorist organization. Cuba has long been classified by the U.S. State Department as a sponsor of international terrorism. Intelligence sources also indicate that Mr. Bielsa personally oversaw funding and support for the Macheteros. Logically, he cannot be allowed into the United States. Nevertheless, the White House wants Fernando Garcia Bielsa to come to Washington. Once established at the Cuban mission in Washington, Bielsa would be in an excellent position to direct the terrorist groups he is charged by Castro with supervising. Given the release by Clinton of 16 members of his terrorist following from U.S. prison, Bielsa's striking power has increased. Ominously, the stage may soon be set for a new Communist-sponsored terrorist campaign.

It should be noted that Communist Cuba was given a very special role by the Soviet General Staff in the event of World War III. That mission involved Cuba's biological and chemical warfare capability. According to intelligence sources, Cuba has two main biological and chemical facilities -- which are ideal for supplying terrorists. One is at Jardin de Orquilles, close to the town of Soroa; and the other is located at Kimonor, in the province of Matanzas. Kimonor is also home to a special army school staffed by Russian instructors. According to the Russians, if toxic weapons were used at strategic locations along the Mississippi River, a third of the United States could be contaminated.

Some observers have suggested that Clinton's clemency of the Puerto Rican terrorists was timed to help Hillary Clinton win Puerto Rican votes in New York. But that is unlikely, because Puerto Ricans are not pro-Communist or pro-terrorist by nature. As a matter of fact, the "oppressed people of Puerto Rico" love their commonwealth status within the U.S. As it happens, Puerto Rican residents do not pay federal taxes. They enjoy all the rights of American citizenship except that of voting in national elections. The local government of Puerto Rico is, in fact, democratically elected. In elections the Puerto Rican Independence Party rarely draws more than four percent of the vote. The New Progressive Party, which wants to make Puerto Rico the 51st U.S. state, draws about 48 percent and the Commonwealth Popular Democratic Party -- which favors continued Commonwealth status -- also draws about 48 percent. ,p> While the U.S. media was happy to describe the released terrorists as Puerto Rican nationalists, the truth is very different. Rather than serving the cause of the Puerto Rican people, these terrorists are agents of a hostile foreign power. True to form, the Clinton White House continues to give aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States.
