Clinton hits Obama over friendship with 60’s radical (Is Hussein too young to understand terrorism?)

Clinton hits Obama over friendship with 60’s radical
by Bill Sammon, The Examiner

WASHINGTON - Encouraged by the fallout over Barack Obama’s ex-pastor, Hillary Clinton’s campaign on Thursday attacked Obama for befriending a radical who once bragged of bombing the Pentagon.

Clinton seemed to be trying to turn William Ayers, a former member of the Weather Underground, into the next Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s controversial spiritual mentor. In a New York Times article published on Sept. 11, 2001, Ayers boasted of bombing the Pentagon and other government buildings, adding: “I don’t regret setting bombs. I feel we didn’t do enough.”

That quote was cited Thursday by Clinton spokesman Phil Singer, who questioned why Obama has “maintained a relationship” with Ayers.

The Ayers controversy was raised Wednesday at a Democratic debate by moderator George Stephanopoulos after the question was suggested to him by Sean Hannity during an interview on Hannity’s radio show.

Asked by The Examiner to respond to this line of attack, Obama campaign manager David Plouffe countered that former President Bill Clinton pardoned two members of the Weather Underground. Susan Rosenberg had been in prison for her role in an armed robbery that left three people dead, while Linda Evans had been in prison on weapons and explosive charges in connection to a string of bombings.

“The Clinton campaign for awhile said their total mission was to try and convince superdelegates that we were unelectable because of Reverend Wright, so maybe they’re going to focus on Ayers now,” Plouffe said. “There’s a desperation in the campaign.”

Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson rejected the comparison to Rosenberg and Evans saying Obama’s campaign has called the candidate’s relationship with Ayers “friendly.” The two served on a board together, and Ayers once hosted a fundraiser for Obama.

“We’re not talking about whether or not Senator Obama ran into somebody at an ice cream store in Hyde Park; we’re talking about somebody who was a key supporter of his first race for elected office,” Wolfson said.

Did you know that in a 1975 movie named “Katherine” the part of Bill
Ayers was played by Henry Winkler, The Fonz?

Sounds like Wolfson's been listening to Rush Limbaugh. Rush used this "ice cream store" phrasing on Friday. If the audio of Wolfson is available, I'll betcha Rush plays it on tomorrow's show.

There's probably a picture of Ayer's and Hildabeast and Bubba somewhere. Whenever Ma Kettle calls the Black a pot , a picture of Ma shows up potted as well. Remember Rezko?

Savor it my kiddies. When the dem nomination is over these revelations will disappear in the media fog. McCain will then be presented either as a doddering oldster or as we have seen him x 10.

A freedom of speech stifler, Head Justice of the Keating Five, A Taxman and, Forget the Alamo, a full surrenderer to Mexico.

No, but supposedly, they want nothing to do with each other. Supposedly. However, I once read somewhere that the original BPP told the New BPP [paraphrasing] 'to put down their guns--that they weren't needed any longer, because the doors are already opened, and violence isn't neccessary anymore.' It was something like that, anyway. I'll see if I can dig up the actual quote somewhere. Also note that both the New and the Old BPPs are tightly linked with Screwy Louie Farrakhan's group. I guess THAT pretty much says it all. Farrakhan, like the BPP, is quite fond of Mao Tse Tung.

Louis Farrakhan, at the annual Saviours' Day celebration in Chicago, Feb. 25, 2008: "This young man is the hope of the entire world that America will change and be made better"..."If you look at Barack Obama's audiences and look at the effect of his words, those people are being transformed."
Source: http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=4337417

Louis Farrakhan, at the Millions More Movement rally in DC, Oct 15, 2005: "...what Mao Tse Tung did was, he went to the cultural community, and they [Farrakhan spreads his arms beneficently] accepted his idea."..."Mao Tse Tung ... had a billion people whose lives he had to transform."..."the idea of Mao Tse Tung became the idea of a billion people, and China became a world power on the base of the culture and the arts community. If we had a ministry of art and culture in every city we'd create this movement [in the U.S.]."

Louis Farrakhan, Santiago de Cuba, February, 1998: "There is not a member of the black masses in the United States who is not proud of the example set by Cuba and its revolution, with Comandante Fidel at its head"

Yes and he should hit her back with that. After all she was the co prez wasn’t she? Then she has to take responsibiity for all that. Also Obama should hit her back with her associations with a lot of other shady characters. He should hit her back with everything he has. She has no room to talk...her OR old willie.

Wolfson rejected the comparison to Rosenberg and Evans saying Obama’s campaign has called the candidate’s relationship with Ayers “friendly.”

Wolfson apparently wishes to leave the impression the Clinton Crime Family association and pardoning of Weather Underground members was not "friendly," but merely "bidness as usual," a distinction with little discernable difference, vis-a-vis desirability traits for an American leader.

I don't know if this has any new info...from Hotair:

The new Dem meme: What Will Karl Do?

Title is misleading as to what I want to point to,....

*****************************EXCERPT*********************

As Andrew McCarthy ironically noted yesterday, the Obamas have political ties to Ayers and Dohrn, not just a one-off chance meeting. Since Obama made his superior judgment the centerpiece of his campaign, it’s hardly outside the boundaries of political discourse to question why he tied himself politically to an unrepentant terrorist for years, why he and Ayers sent $75,000 to a Yasser Arafat toady, and even why he financially supports a church whose pastor claims that the government created AIDS to conduct genocides.
