FLDS Tipster Arrested for False Report - UPDATE: Is Barack Obama Delagate!?!?!
The Jawa Report ^ | April 19th, 2008

UPDATE: Rozita Swinton, the woman arrested today for falsely tipping off the police that she was an abused child bride at the FLDS polygamy cult in Texas is a PLEDGED BARACK OBAMA STATE DELEGATE!!

It was her initial false report that started the investigation which has led to the removal of 400 children from their parents' custody.

Patterico: In an odd coincidence, a person named Rozita E. Swinton of Colorado Springs is listed on the El Paso County Democratic Party website as an Obama delegate.

From the webpage. The number next to her name indicates the precinct she's in.

How many Rozita Swintons can there be in Colorado Springs?

Another example of a Democratic activist making up a fake but accurate story? Sure, she lied about everything, but isn't the goal of removing children from parents who's lifestyle we don't approve of trump truth? [...] A Colorado woman named Rozita Swinton has been arrested for pretending to be an abused child bride on the Texas FLDS compound. ABC:

Texas Rangers participated in the arrest of a Colorado woman who allegedly pretended to be a girl locked in a basement. The Rangers were in the state as part of their investigation into the Texas polygamy custody battle, local police told ABC News....

But ABC News has learned that Texas Rangers flew to Colorado Springs, Colo., and participated in the arrest of a 33-year-old woman who was charged with filing a false report.

The FBI also told ABC News it is assisting local police in the investigation. Colorado Springs police said in a statement that "The Texas Rangers were in Colorado Springs Wednesday as part of their investigation involving the compound in Texas."

Here’s a comment I found on another blog:

Since this woman is connected to the Democratic Party, I’m wondering if there are any other ties to uncover, perhaps to political operatives in the area who may have wanted to move against this compound, for whatever reason.

As a rule, My Pet Jawa is a reliable source. They’ve broken several important stories.

Is it possible that she could be a plant to make Obama look bad?
_____________

She’s making Mitt Romney and Republicans look bad. That’s how many people will see it.

So what does this do for the validity of the case that was being built against the various members of the cult, that there were underage mothers and forced “marriages” by older men with 13- and 14-year-old girls?

The warrant was for purposes of SEARCH, and therefore, within the meaning of the Fourth Amendment. The basis for the warrant was “reasonable assumption” that the complaint call that came in to the local authorities about the conditions was based in a truthful assertion.

Turned out, that whether the complaint was legitimate or not, the existence of very real abuse was found, and under the laws of Texas, ought be subject to prosecution.

The roots of the tree may be poisoned, but the fruit was not.

In my haste - didn't use the spell checker!

It's WATCH!

Democrats are known to be sneaky and when their lips move, be assured they are lying about something.

I know very little about this case. Facts or not, it is almost impossible for the government to LEGALLY go into a community and remove 416 children. They would not even think about doing such a thing at black or Islamic communtiy. Whether some people there were breaking the law or not, these people were targetted for being odd, eating odd food, etc. Sure they apparently want to live in the 19th century and I don’t, but it is their right to live and raise their children in the manner they want with VERY LIMITED exceptions.

Doesn't work that way. The tree's poison all the way up.

I found a link to a story on this:

Springs woman arrested for false reporting in raid

A Colorado Springs woman was arrested on charges of false reporting to authorities and is being investigated for her alleged involvement in the call that tipped authorities off to possible abuse at the Texas polygamist compound.

Police say they arrested 33-year-old Rozita Swinton at her home on Wednesday. The Texas Rangers were in Colorado Springs apparently as part of their investigation involving the compound in Texas.

They left and have not filed any charges on Swinton and the Colorado Springs Police spokesman said he could not discuss any aspects of the Texas case.

Our sister station KMGH in Denver found out that this is not the first time Swinton has been arrested on charges of making false reports to authorities. According to records the charge against Swinton was made in connection to calls received by police in February

This was a day or so ago. Do you have a source reporting that the woman has NOW been arrested for making a false report on the FLDS?
