With only 1000 polling samples it naturally begs the question of why the leftist BBC bothered with this at all.

Perhaps it was because they felt the need to do 'something' for this important anniversary, but didn't want it to be truly statistically relevant by using large and comprehensive sampling, knowing, after all even before they started what the outcome would be.

That’s a big problem with Europeans. They futz around and have committee meetings, then “deplore” problems until they spiral out of control. Then they overreact, and do oppressive, violent, and sometimes murderous things.

And they criticize Americans for being “cowboys”, for addressing situations before they get out of hand.

If a truly random sample is selected, 1000 people is enough to produce a poll with a 95% confidence that any error is smaller than 3%. This has nothing to do with the BBC being leftist. It is just a normal attempt to use rational statistical methods to save time and money.

I think that if we look around at all of the nations experiencing internal strife today, they are all dominated by the Left.

And they criticize Americans for being “cowboys”, for addressing situations before they get out of hand.

How little they know!  True American cowboys are some of the very nicest, kindest and most polite folks you would ever care to meet.  They must be thinking of Commies, not cowboys, for their habit of crushing anyone under their iron bootheel......

Cowboys helped in a BIG WAY to build the greatest nation the world has ever known.  It's quite a compliment to be referred to as a cowboy.

Rush , a few years back on his program reminded us that the term”Cowboy” ,(that any European lofts off his poofie lips )was first used by the communists.It was later borrowed by America haters on the left in Europe(And the US.- Democrats) ,the ideological incest concubines of the Soviets.

Different races will always have different values, so there is no stark difference between the two. Once a minority becomes large enough, it flexes its muscles and invokes its values against the values of the majority population.

It’s fashionable to say that it would be okay for Britain to have (for example) a Pakistani majority as long as they adopt British values, But if they were the majority, they would have no reason to adopt British values. In fact, once they’re a significant minority they have no reason to do it. Not to mention that if they had the inclination to adopt Western values, they’d adopt those values in Pakistan.

But the proportion of people describing themselves as "racially prejudiced" was down to 20%, compared with 24% in 2005.

That's actually worth noting. The authorities in England have made racism a very serious and high-priority thoughtcrime, diverting a large amount of resources away from real crimes. If 20% of the public nonetheless still have the sand to admit racial prejudice to an unfamiliar poll-taking busybody, this is a sign of real trouble ahead.

I don’t agree - race has nothing to do with values.

Values have simply to do with your belief system and what you think works in the long run.

Our most fundamental value is our belief in freedom with personal responsibility. Most of our clashes occur with those that believe otherwise - those that are willing to give up their freedom in exchange for no personal responsibilty.

So our biggest culture clash is with the left. The reason today it encompasses newly arrived immigrants is because the left has managed to institute programs that teach them how they can avail themselves of all the welfare benefits as well as provide social advocacy that teaches them all the “rights” they have with no responsibilities.

This is especially rampant in Europe and that is why you will see much more of an impact there than here.

For this I do not blame the immigrants - I blame the citizens of the various countries that have allowed them to come in without first insisting that they adhere by the dominant culture of the land - freedom with responisbility. And again even more specifically the blame goes to the leftists that fought tooth and nail to not assimilate the newcomers. Of course this is exactly what the left wanted to achieve - the destruction of the western democratic capitalistic system.

The British and many other Europeans can't even name their enemy, so how can they ever plan how to win? Over and over again they use the term "race" to describe their problems, and describe problem immigrants as "Asians".

Are we supposed to believe that white and black Britons are prejudiced against Asian-looking people? Or that Asians despise white and black people?

They are going to have to say it: the problem is Islam. It's not race, it's not immigration, it's not just a culture war, it's Islam.
