SAN ANGELO, Texas -- More than 400 children taken from a ranch run by a polygamous sect will stay in state custody and be subject to genetic testing, a judge ruled Friday. State District Judge Barbara Walther heard 21 hours of testimony over two days before ruling that the children be kept by the state. Individual hearings will be set for the children over the next several weeks. She ordered that all children and parents be given genetic testing. Child welfare officials have said they've had difficulty determining how the children and parents are related because of evasive or changing answers.

Polygamous sect. State custody.
It's hard to tell which is the frying pan and which is the fire.
Now if you think you treatment was worse where ever you were than being used a prized brood sow at the age of twelve are thirteen, then you truly have a problem.
Some of these guys might end up like Warren Jeffs.
**********
"Warren Jeffs gained international notoriety in May 2006 when he was placed on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution on Utah state charges related to his alleged arrangement of extralegal marriages between his adult male followers and underage girls.
He was arrested in August 2006 in Nevada, and agreed to be taken to Utah for trial. In May and July of 2007 the State of Arizona charged him with eight additional countsincluding sexual conduct with minors and incestin two separate cases.
His trial, which began early in September of 2007 in St. George, Utah, lasted less than a month, and on September 25 the verdict was read declaring him guilty of two counts of rape as an accomplice.
On November 20, 2007 he was sentenced to imprisonment for 10 years to life and has begun serving his sentence at the Utah State Prison."
So does Oprah and Hillary. You know who else wants to "protect the kids"?
MADD, The Million Mom Marchers, and all the neo-Nazi soccer moms in America who love kids so much that they hate the Constitution.
Yes, some indeed might. Let’s see where something called “evidence” takes us prior to hysterically jumping to conclusions.
Stomp what out forever? Freedom of religion? Freedom of association? Parental rights?
You get it.
I am amazed that more Freepers do not see this for what it is.
This group is being targeted just like the one Janet Reno did.
Most people around here are happy about what is happening because they see this group as a cult and immoral.
But this sets precedence to take children away from their parents based on a prank phone call and determined by sliding moral standards in our courts.
I personally know a 13 year old girl who does not know her dad, and her mom has let her move in with her high school boy friend, and they sleep together. There is no father there either, just a little sister and mom.
People I talk to tell me this is common place. Teachers tell me that there are plenty of students having sex at school, some in public. Some are homosexual.
I thought about calling CPS about the 13 year old girl but decided it would probably just make it worse. The state of Texas promotes homosexuality and abortion and multiple sexual relations outside of marriage. I think this cult is more moral than most Texans.
I went to a movie that was popular a few years back without knowing what it was about. Early on there was an incredibly violent, bloody murder mixed with a perverted and graphic sex act. It was so bad, I left... and I am far, far too tolerant. But what disturbed me most was the man and woman in the seat in front of mine who gleefully munched on their popcorn while allowing a girl of about eleven sit through this. This was in Texas.
I know a preacher in Texas who told me he once encouraged a mother to send her son to Boys Town to help turn his attitude around. It did after he was sexually abused for months by the male leaders.
The people around here need to realize that these children may end up much, much worse off because the state of Texas intervened.
If it really bothers people around here, they ought to quit preaching fascism and castration and death penalties for things for which God does not even prescribe corporal punishment. Instead they should open up their loving homes to help neglected and abused children and make a difference. They should find answers that can help people get put right morally, but first cast the splinter out of their own eye.
Has the left infiltrated this forum. I thought we were conservatives and mostly evangelical Christians?
It is starting to sound more and more like feminists, nanny staters and worse.
Just remember, to the left, mainstream Christian churches are as evil if not more than this cult. It won’t be long before they want to break down your door and take your children because of your religious and political views.
You have underage girls with multiple babies - ergo you have defacto evidence of statutory rape.
It appears these children are brainwashed and abused and the women are protecting the men by exercising their own omerta.
If you have multiple 14 year old girls with multiple babies each living in a sealed compound and all the men are 40 or older you have to think there might just be something odd going on...
I still haven’t passed judgement yet. The facts are not all in. The All Mighty Media will surely play a part in this.
I try to break it down into an individual family. It appears that these people are one big family.
So, if there is abuse in a “neighborhood near you”, do you turn a blind eye?
Or do you err on the side of caution?
The repetition of this absolutely untrue statement by poster after poster makes me think there is a coordinated effort to avoid the real truth of what went on at the ranch.
The children were not removed based on a prank phone call.
2. The media tells me the children of this particular compound are brainwashed and abused with mothers protecting them. I do not know this for a fact. The media and police often say things that prove to be untrue (like the initial phone call in this case).
3. How sealed is the compound? I have seen mixed reports on this in the media. Some reports are like this place is Fort Knox, others are it has no physical borders but rather its borders are supposed to be simply respected if invisible.
I guess I want to know the truth about what has occurred. I suppose it will come out eventually. If there was illegal activity those perpetrating it should pay dearly.
I am sorry you have no regard for, or understanding of the US Constitution.
If there is evidence you produce it first.
According to one report the place was being investigated and LE felt they had to act after the phone call.
Little old men raising and trading little girls for them to rape and draw government welfair, so they can rape and trade more little girls.
Is this the same phone call that is now believed to be filled with false statements?
If true then this is horrific. Do you have evidence of this?
That’s what I understand as well.
Go to Smoking Gun and look up the affadavits and search warrants. Not based on the "phone call" at all.
Just one difference though. I would guess you would find the fathers in these high school cases are at least someone in the same age range as the girls. But when 13 and 14 year old girls are pregnant by 50 year old men, that can only be called pedophilia.
My hope is TX does not tolerate this so we never have another cult like this moving here with the purpose of rape, incest and pedophilic garbage against innocent children.
True, but there are several here that are grasping at straws to support this Mormon crap.
It was produced. Look up the Smoking Gun affadavits and search warrant.
