High ranking Nazis were mostly homosexuals. They were definitely sexual deviants. Apparently you think our judges and politicians are squeaky clean.
Germany was known as The country in Europe tolerant of homosexuality. It was the San Fransisco of the continent. The US only recently has granted protection to homosexual sex in the federal courts. It has allowed pseudo-same-sex-marriages. It has allowed homosexuals to be foster parents and to adopt children. It has made celebrities out homosexuals. The news, TV and film media are filled with pro-homosexual propaganda. Bill Clinton’s first act as president was to implement “don’t ask don’t tell” to promote homosexuality in the military. Now the liberals want to replace it with open homosexuality. In time these groups will dominate our military and either destroy it from the inside out, or make it an instrument against our own citizens.
Politics took control of the public schools and universities in Germany. It is happening here.
Guns were registered, then taken away in Germany. It is happening here.
Christian churches compromised their theology for various reasons, and began to preach social and political gospels and adopted liberal views toward morals. As in Germany then, so in America now.
Abortion was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor in Germany in 1926 and was first legalized in 1935 after the Nazis came to power in 1933. WW2 and all its atrocities were soon to follow. Our culture of death is very similar. The Terri Schiavo case showed that a whole nation will sit by and allow a judge to dehydrate a person to death. Judges, Congressmen, police, other law enforcement and politicians were complicit. Abortion is being done up to and even after birth now. Euthanasia is practiced. A whole generation is so desensitized to others’ pain as a consequence of over exposure to graphic violent and sexual images, and immersed in a pleasure-obsessed culture, few will bat an eye when they hear of someone enduring intense suffering (unless it is them).
People have become less willing to speak out for what is right. They especially will not stand up and fight. People have become less honest and honorable. People are more self-centered and willing to cheat to get ahead. People are hateful and spiteful to each other for no reason. Our nation lacks the moral will and the moral character to fight the revolution it needs to secure its liberties. Lenin’s prediction is nearly ready to happen; it will fall like a ripe fruit.
Our nation is becoming more polarized. There is more and more corruption in high places. There is at least one presidential candidate who has a chance of winning who hates this nation and what it represents. If he wins, all bets are off when it comes to our sovereignty and safety. The other two disrespect our constitutional liberties to one extent or another.
I am really at a loss to know where the humor is in all this. Only a demon or a fool would see any of these things as funny. Did I miss something, or is it just my accent?

This is waco all over again. Spurious crime to get probable cause. Then child abuse allegations from a spurious source. A lot of these people will prolly end up dead as well.
The only difference I see is that Freepers are on the other side. These people have no constitutional/unalienable rights in freeper minds. They're already convicted and should be jailed/hung in freeper minds.
Govt gets a fake phone call, enabling them to assume that there's probable cause that a crime has been committed. Then that leads to other "evidence" which leads to other "evidence" which leads to genetic testing which will lead to other "evidence" I'm sure.
In the meantime, the original phone call was spurious, the govt broke the law in tresspassing on these peoples property and all the overwhelming power of the State can't wipe away that fact.

The only thing scarier than the govt response to this situation is the freeper response that I see in these threads.
Some of the Freepers who are cheering the govt on need to stop and ask themselves what THEY would do if the govt got an unsolicited, mysterious phone call that the govt used to assume that THEY broke a law and all the power of the HEAVY FISTED GOVERNMENT was brought down on THEIR heads. Maybe they wouldn't be so judgemental and quick to throw people in prison for the rest of their lives if it was directed at them personally.

That is not what happened. The call resulted in a visit to the compound. It was what happened there, in person, during that visit, which resulsted in the children being taken into custody.

I was off on a different thread, which strangely enough was even worse than this one! I can’t believe how many FReepers are up in arms with the state over this.
I was grasping for the numbers; at one point, I am sure I heard that almost all the female children are pregnant. Mundo bizarro. I wish I hadn’t had a late supper so I’d be asleep!
You were the one talking about Nazis. I may as well point out that this is now a DISPUTED historical fact per Ahmadinejad, the leader of Iraq, who maintains that it was propoganda and never happened at all.

I was justifying my earlier comment about how people around here are willing to give up fundamental freedoms for a quick fix. I was pointing out the similarity in our culture and pre-Nazi Germany because it is very similar how people were willing to forfeit liberties and allow a police state to form. But, of course, all with the best of intentions.
Ansel thought it was funny... I suppose he does not believe there is anything to the argument. I hope that is all he intended, though I don’t find the humor either way.
When the government can come in and take an entire community’s children, it is scary. Even if it is justified, it is scary. It is also scary to me that so many people here do not find it scary. Most people are gung ho to round ‘em up.
I hope they are so eager to open their safe, conservative Christian homes to adopt and raise these children so they don’t end up in a worse place.
Otherwise I think their rage against this cult is phony and hypocritical. In fact, children are being put in homes with homosexuals right now and before this cult ever moved to Texas. I wonder how many people making pro CPS comments have opened their homes to protect those children from ending up in a bad place.

I don’t see how you and others here can compare this cult to conservative Christian homeschoolers, unless homeschoolers have a completely different manner of teaching sex ed than I have envisioned.
Using their faith to justify criminal acts does harm to all faiths and not just to their own. Anyone who doesn’t see that is just in denial.
