Well, this time the AP has really done it. Dateline Custer County, Oklahoma: Sheriff Mike Burgess resigns after authorities charged him with running a sex-slave operation out of his jail using female inmates he bribed for the purpose. So, which party did the AP tell us our crafty entrepreneur was from? Well, they seem to have forgotten to mention it... shocking, I know.

Rule of thumb:
If the AP does NOT mention a party affiliation when reporting on a scandal, then the party affiliation will almost ALWAYS start with a “D”.
Wow! The sheriff’s life looks like it was a non-stop porn movie. When he’s on the other side of the bars, it will be a different kind of porn movie than he’s used to.
Yup, and locals (I live in the state) don’t like to mention party affiliation either, but most of us know anyway. Here’s a weird update—if you read about what went on, you know this guy did not act alone. He had plenty of help and accomplices—but today’s news reported that he would be the only one charged. Something’s rotten in Custer County.
If he “bribed” them, they were paid and consented.
If they were paid and consented, they were not slaves.
Live in OK, too. Your right, this could not have happened without a bunch of people in on it, but it was so stupid (even for a criminal mindset) in that he placed his welfare and security in the hands of the crackheads was housing. Guess it never crossed his mind that one might get pi**ed off and rat on him after she got out of jail.
Man, but what a party for a while.
The fact that AP didn't disclose it pretty much means it was a Dim, but to be honest, based on the headline, it can go either way any more.
