Conjecture all you want, I want their a**es and I want the child rape to stop.
I applaud Texas for taking them on.
Leaving their Mormon sanctuary states may have been a huge mistake for them.
As for your inability to distinguish between the crime of violent street rape and the culture in question that mimics 3rd world tribal customs that were recently made criminal in the Texas jurisdiction.....
I concur.
I think the reason they left their Mormon sactuary states, is that even the Mormons weren't putting up with that. Even if their scripture does say polygamy is an "eternal covenant", they could still see child abuse was wrong.
Or is that consequence of no consequence to you?
Good thing we didn’t put Romney on the ticket. He might not be a Fundamentalist LDS, but this sure would cause a lot of people to double think putting a Mormon in the top office.
Rape has always been criminal.
Maybe if YOU were the one being raped you wouldn’t see any difference, either.
Very astute observation. (We had a lot of short-sighted Republican voters AND FReepers on this)
I was thinking more along the lines of search and seizure and checkpoint and all that. It hadn’t even really occurred to me all the stuff you mentioned, which just speaks to how pervasive it all has become. I’m an 80’s baby so I haven’t expereinced a time free from big social programs. What did the poor kids do for milk and who made sure all the stuff CPS supposedly takes care of, back in the day?
“and whilst you have them in your hand, what foster home hell do you want to sentence the innocent children to? “
Where they are at is hell, they have no parents other than those that are assigned to them at that time, did you know that the children and wives and the men do not permanently own what ever title they claim on a given day?
One day you are a husband of wives and have many children, but they can be given to another man, that goes for the women and children too of course.
Some of the girls as young as 12, (some claim younger) are given to a father and she becomes his “wife”
The consequences of what these perverts and weirdos are doing to these children that they breed for these purposes seem of no concern to you, I support Texas rescuing the victims and the would be future victims.
I don’t know how you can even contemplate supporting these people’s defense.

You are being too kind, there is a lot of crossover between the early Romney supporters and the pro cult supporters on these FLDS threads.

Ans, Tele's comment, you have them in your hand, what foster home hell do you want to sentence the innocent children to is quite "telling." It's kind of tantamount to the liberal argument that if you let many so-called "unwanted" children actually be born to single moms--vs. being aborted--a good chunk of them wind up as part of the criminal population.
Comments like these are from pretend "prophets" who forecast that every foster care home is "hell."
“Good thing we didnt put Romney on the ticket.”
True, it would have been ugly.
Angola GP is as close to HELL as we can make for the rest.
While I have Anger I have no “Ailment”,,,
I Do Not/Will Not Tolerate CHILD~RAPE!!!

A lot of them also seem to come from Utah based Romney fans.
Support indeed.
Use a highly dubious reason to go in guns blazing. Accuse them of child abuse and molestation, based on a "witness" whose identiy you don't even know, then if they resist, use all the power of the State, including propaganda, to destroy them.
I fail to see what the difference here is between this cult and a commune where pretty much the same conditions exist. Nobody screams polygamy at communes. They don't send in cops to raid communes where children are likely used as sex objects.
Apparently that's only for Bible thumpers.
Unless some of the perps turn out to be women. In which case house arrest for three months and a spanking by the judge will do.
I am reminded of the teachers who have been arrested after statchetory rape of male minors.
Let me ask you a question. I don’t support polygamy myself, although on principle I don’t condemn it either. If polygamists are abusing underage girls and welfare agencies, I stridently do not approve. If adults want to participate in it, I don’t think it’s my place to tell them no. Now, how do the lives of Old Testament prophets play into this?
Are we going to view all Old Testament prophets as wicked men who had multiple wives, and even underage wives? It seems some of these men were rather favored by God. (I’m going to have to admit to not having any particular person in mind here, but I do believe there were individuals who filled this bill. I would accepting if proven wrong on that count.)
I ask this question because it seems to conflict with what we think of as very devious criminal activity today.
Where do we come down on this, if my premise is sound?

Interview with a so-called 'lost boy' Editor's note: Johnny Jessop, 18, is suing polygamist leader Warren Jeffs to force him to locate Johnny's mother. Jessop, a so-called 'lost boy,' says he was kicked out of his polygamous home at the age of 13. He believes Jeffs knows his mother's whereabouts. CNN's Gary Tuchman interviewed Jessop for tonight's show.
The video link doesn't download, and since yesterday the source link has died...but the LOST BOYS story isn't new, the date on this promo is FEBRUARY 2007.
HOW MANY 'LOST BOYS' ARE THERE? THOUSANDS?
