"I am convinced that only a miracle can save America now. And I am expecting God to grant such a miracle. Beyond that, I am willing to do my part to place myself in a position to let God use my voice and my vote to accomplish this miracle. And if that means voting for someone who "has no chance of winning" in order to let God take the glory for whatever victory results, it is the least I can do. So, who will join me?"
“... and that’s the troof”.
Who’ll join you? Only the frig’gin insane, buddy!
I’ll be voting for a Conservative. I won’t be voting for McCain.
As it should be. There are evil people in this world trying to destroy us. The last 2 'rat idiots in the oval office, Carter & Clinton, did absolutely NOTHING to stop them. NOTHING.
“Republicans had an opportunity to nominate a real American constitutionalist, a statesman in the similitude of Thomas Jefferson or James Madison. That man was” . . . TA-DA! . . . “Texas Congressman, Ron Paul.”
He had me going, up to that point. Then it all fell apart.
We'll survive McCain. We survived Bush, Clinton, Carter, Johnson, Hoover, Harding, Grant, a Civil War, and even James Buchanan and Franklin Pierce. America's tough despite all the boys who cry wolf around here.
We already tried isolationism Chuck. It didn’t work. What did Einstein say about doing the same thing and expecting a different result?

NO.
BTW - And that is coming from a Ron Paul primary voter.
I won't be joining him.
First of all, God takes the glory no matter who I vote for.
Secondly, Ron Paul doesn't impress me. This guy talks as if he's the next Ronald Reagan. Please! Give me a break!
Too bad we can’t ask Woodrow Wilson for the answer to that.
Better not. I let him use my lawnmower and he still hasn't returned it.
Uh huh.
The only way to save America was to nominate a sure-to-lose libertarian gold-bug isolationist screwball?
OK, we are toast.
Alternative miracle: McCain puts a VP in that is rock-solid and we survive the 4 years of mcCain who doesnt run again, by which time the infatuation with leftist dreck like Obama is over.
Gameplan: Obama beats Hillary, McCain beats Obama, conservatives beat RINOs
One of my favorite thinkers had some thoughts about this as well. Ayn Rand completely rejected the Libertarian party movement claiming some sort of connection to the objectivist/individualist ideals. Above all, do not join the wrong ideological groups or movements, in order to 'do something.' By 'ideological' (in this context), I mean groups or movements proclaiming some vaguely generalized, undefined (and, usually, contradictory) political goals. (E.g., the Conservative Party, which subordinates reason to faith, and substitutes theocracy for capitalism; or the 'libertarian' hippies, who subordinate reason to whims, and substitute anarchism for capitalism.) To join such groups means to reverse the philosophical hierarchy and to sell out fundamental principles for the sake of some superficial political action which is bound to fail. It means that you help the defeat of your ideas and the victory of your enemies.
For the record, I shall repeat what I have said many times before: I do not join or endorse any political group or movement. More specifically, I disapprove of, disagree with and have no connection with, the latest aberration of some conservatives, the so-called 'hippies of the right,' who attempt to snare the younger or more careless ones of my readers by claiming simultaneously to be followers of my philosophy and advocates of anarchism. Anyone offering such a combination confesses his inability to understand either. Anarchism is the most irrational, anti-intellectual notion ever spun by the concrete-bound, context-dropping, whim-worshiping fringe of the collectivist movement, where it properly belongs.
I remember when I was a little kid, adults used to say, “God helps those who help themselves.”
I just googled it, and find about a hundred people who point out that this is “not in the Bible.” But what I take it to mean is that if the country freely chooses to go to hell in a handbasket, we can’t necessarily expect God to bail us out.
I have more than once said I hoped we’d have a miracle between now and next November. We can’t really expect it, but we can pray for it. Maybe if enough people pray, God will hear us.
So, no harm in praying—but I draw the line at Ron Paul.
I think he is Jeremiah Wright's brother from another mother.
“No I won’t join you Chuck. I can not let Barack Obama pick four Supreme Court Justices.
We’ll survive McCain. We survived Bush, Clinton, Carter, Johnson, Hoover, Harding, Grant, a Civil War, and even James Buchanan and Franklin Pierce. America’s tough despite all the boys who cry wolf around here. “
DITTOS.
McCain spent 5 years in a prison camp. That is probably the only experience that IMHO is really qualifying any of the candidates for that high office.
Obama and Clinton are grifters who have done nothing for the nation but use politics to gain power. McCain actually sacrificed for our country.
yeah, he’s a moderate not a conservative and is wrong on some issues. BFD. We are going to survive whatever errors he makes and I look forward to his spending cuts and his tax cuts and his conservative court nominations - PLUS, his leadership to win with honor in Iraq and draw down troops as peace take hold there.
Obama/Clinton are wrong on just about everything you can name, including the BIG STUFF: Taxes, Iraq, Judges.
Maybe we need a “Conservatives for McCain” group.
Gameplan: Obama beats Hillary, McCain beats Obama, conservatives beat RINOs
