This is a local story for me. (I drive by his house almost every day.) They interviewed a former girlfriend of his on the news right after the murder. From her comments, which I'm sure she thought were testifying to his good character, I thought he'd been fantasizing about doing something like this. Right after that news cast, they put a gag order on anyone who might be called to testify. I feel very sorry for the parents of all involved in this case.

What is this kid’s background? Seems as if both boys involved in the murder (and the victim too) came from two-parent families with some resources. So how did their kids turn into amoral thugs?
