We better hope so. The prospect of a President Obama is too frightening to contemplate.

No amount of money is going to turn that sow's ear into a silk purse.
However it helps that his opponent is guaranteed to be a horse's ass.

He needs to get someone to help him who is a pro at free media, like say Mike Huckabee, to help him with this. One problem is that I am not sure he has the force of personality to handle this sort of thing day in and day out without blowing up in front of the cameras.

I don’t care anyway. We still lose.
Its as entertaining as watching a train wreck. While being a passenger.

McCain will lean heavily on the well-funded Republican National Committee... Ha! How emblematic is that. McCain will get the votes of conservatives. He will not, however, get their money.
Thank you RNC.

"Facing the prospect of competing against a Democrat who is on track to shatter every fundraising record"
How many times have we heard this?

We have some confidence in it, because its kind of the way we got nominated, adds Black Wrong, he got nominated because the MSM engineered it knowing he was the weakest candidate we had. The MSM won't engineer a victory over any Dem candidate.

McCain will rely on free media to an unprecedented degree to get out his message Dream on. The media will turn against McCain the minute the Democrat winner is announced. He will get NO favorable publicity from them, only attacks.
And the conservative blogosphere is unlikely to give him much support, either.
It's not surprising that he is merging his campaign with the RNC. He is the RNC candidate, and now they're stuck with him.

I don’t know how he will get the grass roots support to go into the local party headquarters and make all those GOTV calls. I know I won’t be there.

I contribute to the Club for Growth and the Institute for Justice.
Never another dollar to the country club Republicans, never.
McQueeg and the RNC get the "Gringo de Mexico" peso from me.

Facing the prospect of competing against a Democrat who is on track to shatter every fundraising record and confronted by his own inability to rake in large bundles of cash McCain and his key advisers have largely been forced into devising a three-pronged strategy that they hope can turn their general election weaknesses into strengths. IOW, conservatives are voting with their pocketbooks...or in this case NOT voting with their pocketbooks.
Just the free market at work. Conservatives will prudently donate to candidates who share their values, plus have a decent chance of winning.

No money, no volunteer work, and no votes from my family and me. Let McCain depend on moderates and independents for such support.

Too bad for him he is a moderate who has snubbed his nose at Conservatives. We could be a very vocal grassroots tool if we weren’t sitting on our hands.

I’m not a big fan of McCain, but do we really want President Obama? I think I have an obligation to the country to keep out a guy who will do the country a lot of damage. I owe to the country.

Sen. McCain believes every American should participate in the arena, and that includes people that dont agree with him, LOL... Just not 60 days before the elections, as required by McCain/Feingold.
