Then you might as well vote for Obama then.

As bad as you say McCain is would you rather have Obama or Hillary who are light years worse than McCain can ever be?

I can’t believe people hate McCain so much that they wouldn’t vote at all or vote for some thrid party canidate and therefore help put Obama in the White House.

I think if you read the link in #16, you'll understand why. It's not intended to change your mind, just help you to reason through the decision according to your values.

You have a faulty premise. If the bus is being driven over the cliff it matters not who is at the wheel, the results are the same. All three are heading us over the cliff. The crash damage will be the same - destroyed country. I will not vote for my executioner plain and simple. There is not a gnats a$$ of difference between where any of the three will leave the country in four years. Also McCain is capable of destroying the entire world in one of his irrational fits of rage.

Same old argument ... you’ll never get those people to admit they will vote for McCain.

My hope is that they will actually do so when it comes down to it.

I think they will come to their senses and swallow their misgivings ... but it’s like the guy said, disaffected people voting for Perot elected Bill Clinton.

McCain has actually said some things lately that I really like.

I can’t believe people are still so willing to attribute principled opposition to McCain to something as petty and emotional as “hatred”.

The refusal to cast a vote for McCain is based on considered evaluation of the options and consequences.

The consequences of both jettisoning principles overboard and voting for the lesser of two evils, as well as the consequences of lending legitimacy and support to a man who is the light version of Hillary and who will drag the party even further to the left.

Why? What difference would that make?

As bad as you say McCain is would you rather have Obama or Hillary who are light years worse than McCain can ever be?

Yes, a Dem win would be preferable to McCain

It isn't hate, It_is_principle, as always. If a Conservative rises up, either 3rd or independent, he will get my vote and my $$. If that is not the case, then I will write in a candidate.

I will never vote for McCain. He is without honor, and is not worthy of the office.
