[McCain] needs a good vp candidate... and yes I think hell rise to the challenge unless something weird happens... I wouldn't expect a good VP candidate, either. It will be some moderate, non-partisan wuss. McCain won't abide a running mate who has strong, well-defined views -- neither his political strategy nor his ego will allow for that.
This will create a long-term problems for conservatives. McCain isn't a conservative and neither will his VP be. Thus, whether the McCain administration lasts four years or eight, the likely successor will be yet another moderate.

Exactly! Way too many in the GOP hierarchy and among the big donors have it in their head that because Bush won twice, that going with a liberal/moderate (the two are basically the same these days) is the way to go.

Wh put up a VP candidate who is untested or vetted? Someone like Romney or Condi have already been scrutinized, esp her....
I think we’re all staying with him, but if he pulls out some wuss @ss VP, then forget it....
