the fact that there are a number of pregnant teenage girls does not mean that laws (at least of this day and time) have necessarily been broken

OK, I'll bite. But what about the fact that almost all the teenage girls are either pregnant or have been, combined with the fact that there are no teenage boys older than 12 on the compound, and a bunch of 50 year old men who profess a believe in polygamy and marrying women young.

I agree that the sect/cult must be investigated. But, in order to get the prosecution and actually help the innocent in the long term, the investigation and the ultimate serving of warrants and protection of the kids must be done properly and not based on an annonymous call about a person who is not even in the state.

Otherwise, they risk the whole thing coming down around their heads...huge law suits where the sect/cult ends up getting hundreds of thosuands or maybe millions of tax payer dollars in settlements, and making it harder to go after and investigate and prosecute the fiends later on down the road.

Tough choices...but in todays legal world, that's the unfortunate reality.
