Several women from the polygamist retreat raided more than a week ago defended their lifestyle Wednesday in an exclusive interview with FOX News, calling it "a wonderful pure life," and saying government officials deceived them when they raided the ranch where they live.

"I want the world to know that our children have been torn from us and that they need us," said Sally, a mother of nine.

"They told us that they were going to put us on a bus and take us to where it was a bigger, better place to be — where our family could be together," she added.

On Monday, officials began separating women and some of their offspring without warning, members of the sect said.

Texas Children's Protective Services spokeswoman Marleigh Meisner said officials decided that children are more truthful in interviews about possible abuse if their parents are not around.

"I can tell you we believe the children who are victims of abuse or neglect, and particularly victims at the hands of their own parents, certainly are going to feel safer to tell their story when they don't have a parent there that's coaching them with how to respond," Meisner said.

Regarding the guy, there's no evidence he was in Arizona on the day the girl was beaten and had her ribs broken. She appears to have made the "call" AFTER having gotten the number of a battered women's shelter in St. Angelo (I believe it's called) where she/they had gone to have her treated.

These groups typically let you out to see a doctor in case of a broken bone. Otherwise, you're on your own. Mr. Barlow, however, is going to have to come up with evidence he WASN'T in Texas.

Most of these kids can't even identify to investigators who their mothers are.

Has it occured to you that most of these kids probably won't talk to the investigators at all right now? That does not mean they can't identify their parents it simply means they won't for the very solid reason that the kids who are old enough realize that their parents mightbe prosecuted with such information. It's also likely that the kids lawyers are telling the kids not to talk about certain things with the investigators, as any decent lawyer would.

If there kids went to public school this would not have happened. Instead the girls would have been given condoms and been having sex with the teachers.

Really wish folks wouldn’t think of this place as a “compound” ~ it’s a camp ~ like the kind the Nazis built. The women and children are held captive in a camp.

Moslems are openly practicing Polygamy in Michigan.

Maybe the Michigan state police have small cojones.

What about if mom or dad forces the girl to marry?

So we're talking about the muslims who drag their daughters from America to Pakistan and etc. for forced marriages? When are we going to start raiding the mosques?

Oh, and if they got pregnant the teacher would have driven them to the abortion clinic to “clean things up”.

Folks should be concerned with the boys because not all of them are “run off” ~ nor are they selected into the inner circles. They just kind of disappear.

Sort of how the girl that called for help just kind of disappeared.

There aren't thousands of ranches in TX with barbed wire to keep in girls to be used by a few ugly old goats with pretentions of prophecy.

How do you know? We haven't searched all of those 'compounds' yet. God only knows what goes on in all of those Texas compounds.

Translation: They already have enough evidence of sexual abuse of children by their own parent to shock the conscience of the Judge at the Hearing tomorrow. Those mothers (who failed to protect their daughters from the sickening sexual onslaught of their fathers, uncles, older brothers, & etc.) are not going to see their children for a long time to come...if ever again.

Get used to it, Mom. They need you like they need a hole in the head...

FOXY News is just trying to get a preview of any criminal cases that may spin off from this. The Dependency proceedings will be Confidential...off limits to FOXY News for the protection of the victimized children, so they'll try to force revelation of detailed evidence from the Dependency investigation by spinning it as though CPS were violating some CRIMINAL Rules of Evidence (which we already know keep almost all sexual predators out of jail & loose on the streets)...

But, in order to get the prosecution and actually help the innocent in the long term, the investigation and the ultimate serving of warrants and protection of the kids must be done properly

You are absolutely right here. I hope and pray that they have done this right, because I would hate for any of these bastards to walk.

Earlier threads have resolved the legal issue. Once the warrant was issued and they went in and found evidence of other crimes (pregnant 13 year olds) it really doesn't matter whether or not the originally sought after criminal evidence was ever found.

The "fruit of the poisoned vine" concept doesn't apply ~ and probably never really did except in the fevered brains of mentally deranged kneejerk Liberals.

You're not one of those people are you?

I understand the judge involved has been upset that the “unknown” tipster has not been produced as a witness...I think he smells a con job and I could understand why he wouldn’t want to be seen as colluding with state agencies to deny folks due process!

No...they are going to have to come up with evidence that he was in Texas and that he did it. That is what will be required in a criminal investigation if they have any hope of making it stick.

And if they cannot make it stick...and they do not even have the girl yet...then they are in danger of their whole case falling apart on them. That's my point.

I hope they stick these guys...but I also hope they act wisely within their legal constraints to do it in a manner that will ensure that it does stick.

That's all.

Mr. Barlow, however, is going to have to come up with evidence he WASN'T in Texas.

No, he doesn't. The State of Arizona already denied the Texas arrest warrant because Barlow's whereabouts were known to his Arizona parole officer. Barlow is on parole for an underage marriage in Arizona and his parole officer has certified that Barlow has not left Arizona - which would be a parole violation.

The guys is a piece of work, no doubt, but he is clearly not guilty of this particular accusation. The Arizona authorities agree.
