First, I’m sure I’ve written stuff that actually is worse.
Second, I presume you disagree with my statement, care to explain why, or do you believe your reasoning to be self-evident?
There are bad people in the world, who do bad things. Given a choice between a bad person doing something evil, and my GOVERNMENT doing the same evil think under force of law, I would prefer the evil be done by individuals that I am not responsible for, and who can then be punished, than the government that we all count on to be the ones to implement justice and provide punishment to the evildoers.
If there WAS going to be a mass murderer like Ted Bundy, are you saying that you would rather have had the GOVERNMENT as the mass murderer, instead of an evil man we could arrest, try, convict, and put to death?
Because that’s what it means to disagree with what I said.
You are presenting a false premise. It’s not an either/or situation.
Isn’t it the duty of law enforcement to protect the community from a Ted Bundy type? So if the local PD back in Bundy’s day got a ‘tip’ from a third party (like maybe a shelter, hmmmmm) they should’nt investigate in the least? They should just ignore any tip and wait til they have a body count? What you posted makes no sense.
You have constructed and "either or" straw hut for yourself. The way you want the issue framed is heads you win, tails I lose.
Sorry - it isn't GOVERNMENT doing evil when there is cause for the law to act to prevent child abuse and the "marriage" of young girls barely out of their teens to 50+ year old rapists.
There are lots of things the GOVERNMENT does that Conservatives support and applaud. We want Uncle Sam to step up enforcement of our border with Mexico. The military and the Defense Dept are part of the government. Law enforcement officers breaking up drug gangs is government.
This cult has engaged in illegal activities - polygamy being just one. I am sure more of its antics will come to light.

Sorry - but the radical Libertarian battle cry here is tiresome and not applicable to this scenario.
