I heard the 40% of the state on assistance story too. I also know for a fact that the largest employer in the state of Maine is State Social Services.
Maine is more dysfunctional that Michigan, but it’s out of the way location and small population keep it out of the national news.
What does that figure have to do with the topic of this project? There is no connection and no need for that to be brought up in this discussion.
